i dont normally get pumped for early/mid reg season hockey games but i have to admit i really wanted this one
do you realize how hard it is to sweep a home and home with the second game on the road? and they played very well too. they controlled play most of the game. they were superior in every stat except hits. they played very solid defense. and they sold out on blocking shots and hustling on the backchecking
it was a signature game that i believe shows the sabres have finally found themselves and forged a new identity in this post quinn/regier botch of a lifetime offseason era
they are now right back smack dab in the thick of playoff positioning. that didnt take long did it
i was never worried about the playoffs but its really nice that theyre right there again espec the way they did it
