Generally, a monster game from your QB helps you win. And if it doesn't, the JP haters should look to place the blame somewhere else - but of course they won't.

If we lose, it's always JP's fault. If we win, someone, or some other part of the team, gets the credit.

There have already been 4 or 5 threads saying the same thing, and the consensus is that JP can't get it done. It's simply a matter of Jauron deciding to bench him in favor of Edwards, or sticking with him through the remainder of the season. Stay tuned....

No...he completed some passes this week...that's a sign of progress...he needs more time to show what he can do when he doesn't turn the ball over....you can't bench him, he's been playing behind an above-average offensive line, I want to see what he can do behind a hall-of-fame o-line like the 80's-90's "Hogs"...if the D could force some 3 and outs JP would have more possessions to make positive plays...he needs an opportunity to play for a younger front office...he should be given a better opportunity for all of the street cleaning he's done in Buffalo...Evans likes him better....oh, and he's cute.

What a waste of a few years. It set this organization back 10 years by just waiting for this loser to show some promise. Bye, bye and please, don't come back.

It's got to be more than just J.P. - he's the most visible symptom of this team's ineptness. Jauron and Levy need to leave, too. All Levy has done for two years, that I can see, is make excuses for Loseman and Dick Moron.

And since the buck stops there, let's not forget Ralph Wilson, who has made a fortune from wasting our time (and our hopes) with these mediocre teams he's fielded in the post Polian era of the last decade. Apparently his daughters aren't as good at hiring for the team as Bill Polian was.

I don't see JP getting benched. Edwards is too young and he needs time to study and learn the defenses better. They'll leave JP in there to take the punishment of being on a losing team and everybody wanting to crush you. With any luck he'll heat up against some beat up teams and maybe we can get a late round draft pick for him.

If anyone TIVO'd, Taped, DVR'd this game, etc...... .
Go back to Losman's second (backbreaking interception)

ON the play, Robert Royal started off in pass block and slipped out to the right. Losman never looked at him, he LOCKED on Reed the entire time.

Anyway, if you think I'm exaggerating, go back on your TV to the play and watch it unfold slowly. Royal was at the 36 yard line ALONE to the right of Losman. The closest defender for Jacksonville on the right side of the field was literally ****ing 17 yards away at the 19.

Go back and watch it for yourself. Watch the top right hand of your screen.

At least the good news about this game is maybe it will bring more unity to the board. I don't see how there could be a single person on this entire board that honestly thinks Losman just had his last start on this team.

Was it all his fault today? Absolutely not. Our defense can't get off the field on third down. WE have had ONE sack in the last four games. Plenty of blame to be spread.

But let's keep it real. Losman is horrible. His decision making is poor. If there was a list of mediocre QB's in this league, he'd be at or at least near the top. You can't win when you have this kind of quarterback, especially against better teams. It's safe to say for a first rounder, he can now be officially labeled a "bust". Man, he sucks

JP's biggest liability is that he has minimal poise and is an awful decision maker. The white t-shirt comment they made in the booth was laughable, but I get where they are coming from. JP may look good in a combine (strong arm, good release, athletic), but it simply does not translate to the field. He might get it straight someday, but it won't be with us.

I think JP is at the same level as Rex Grossman. He looked completely lost today against a not so good pass defense. I thought for sure he would have had some nice deep throws today but nothing happened. His poor play is affecting the durability of the defense with his 3 and outs. Yeah, it's true, JP does stand for "Just Punt". After today's game I really see no reason to keep him in there as it's apparent that the light is never going on and he HAS gotten a fair shake.

it is a shame.. because i like his competetive nature.. his desire to be good.. to be a leader.. and i love how he embraced the bills and the city..

I think Edwards warrants a legitimate chance. He has thrown a couple of stupid rookie interceptions that hurt. The offense didn't put up a lot of points under him either; which a lot I attribute to coaching, just as you must with Losman in there. I"m not sure Brady would be a Pro Bowler with this staff.

But at the end of the day, he's much more accurate, light-years smarter and a lot more poised and comfortable in the pocket than JP. He's also 3-1 as a starter and I feel like even now he'd do a better job of keeping us in the game than Losman does against quality teams.

More than anything, unlike Losman he has a window to get a lot better.

im not saying edwards doesnt have the ability to get better.. and if he is the starter, i will root like hell to see him get better..

the 3-1 as a starter is lame.. im not going by that.. because clearly the jets owned him and he got a win because evans caught the bomb from jp.. but that is not even the point.. the record so far.. because i think that this season is down the tubes after todays loss.. i hope im wrong.. maybe edwards can spark us..

the one thing that does give me a little hope is that patrick pointed out that brady was a "dink and dunker".. and looked how he turned out..

if edwards turned out to be half of brady, id be happy

edwards does deserve a full year next year.. and the rest of this year.. but it just sucks to think if he isnt the guy.. the team could be gone before we ever get to the playoffs again.

When I watched him play in that meaningless preseason game against the Lions this year, something went off in my head that told me Trent Edwards is going to be a very solid QB in this league. He has some mental qualities that you just can't teach, and immediately I understood why Bill Walsh was so high on him.

I stick with what I said before the season, I think Edwards will go down as the best rookie QB of this draft, and that includes Russell, Quinn and Beck.

Like I said earlier this week, if JP can't score more than twice and has more than one turnover, and we lose, he should be done.

Well, I'm on board, start Edwards.

If Marshawn Lynch were in there, JP wouldn't have had to shoulder the pressure of the offense all by himself. He needs to be in there for at least another three weeks.

Playoffs are over, we need a higher draft pick. :D

The million dollar question is, why doesn't our "elite" coaching staff see how bad JP is. Anyone with half a football brain in their head "doesn't have to see the tape" to know any better.
Jauron is as stupid as JP and the rest of the coaching staff.

im finally convinced that jp isnt our guy..

it is a shame.. because i like his competetive nature.. his desire to be good.. to be a leader.. and i love how he embraced the bills and the city..

but alas.. it doesnt matter.. we are just winning with him under center consistently.

sucks to think we wasted another 1st round pick.

the part that sucks even worse is that im not convinced that i saw anything from edwards to make me believe we even have any future qb on our roster.

lolz, you are a little late coming around to this aren't you?

you gonna sell your enron stock next?

Another reason I don't like JP. He plays like a loser and acts like one.

When he pump fakes he loses count of his progressions.

My lawn needs to be raked before the first big snowfall, My house could also use a fresh coat of paint. Think JP can stop by and clean up before he leaves town?

Almost everyone is now Anti-JP.

You don't have to start another thread about how useless JP is.

He's done. Game Over.

He's gone after this year.

benefit of WHAT doubt.

There is NOT DOUBT to have a benefit of.

There is no Doubt he stinks to high heaven.

There is no doubt he cannot be a quality QB

There is no doubt anywhere but at 1BD.

There is no doubt that this thread is just as stupid as all the other JP threads at this point. It just a freaking exorcise in futility. Aint a damn thing we can do about it and aint a damn thing DICK is going to do about it.

JP has it all except for instincts. He does not anticipate. He dialed in Reed from the huddle yet was unable to anticipate where he was going to be and throw before the break.

He waited until he saw Reed was completely open then fired. If you throw it when hes open the ball will get there when hes not. Vice versa.

Just like his deep balls. Either the WR has single down the sideline and you throw it early to lead him. Or in JPs case, you wait till he gets by the defender and then heave it. By that time its underthrown and INT.

David Carr looks like Jim Kelly in comparison to Bruce Mathison JR.
You obviously have not seen David Carr this season...He makes all the boneheaded plays and inaccuracies of Losman but doesn't have the ability to throw the deep ball. I watch every Bills game and am a season ticket holder of the Panthers and trust me Losman is way better than Carr. Carr was 10-22 for 95 yards with a 20 rating yesterday and eventually benched for an undrafted rookie who did not even join the team until late September and that was one of his better games.

It's DEFINITELY time to pull the plug on the JP Losman era.

If you think otherwise, you're a damn fool. If he has not gotten it yet, he will NEVER get it!

Yesterday's game drove that message home to me with a jackhammer.

Let's see what we got in TE.

Did you ever once see JP looking at photos from the booth? I did not see him one time looking at anything that could help him from f***ing up.....He just sat on the bench with that stupid look on his face.

all this "off the bandwagon" talk is hillarious. Two weeks ago were you on the bandwagon? Were you one of the people saying JP shouldn't be evaluated on one game along...well if two weeks ago you were on and this week you are off you just evaluated him on one game.

Great post.

It's hard not to be upset. He really is a loser. If this guy played for Miami we would be totally ripping on this guy. His PCs are just embarrassing. He's not my neighbor or brother, he's the GD starting QB and he's pathetic.

Generally, a monster game from your QB helps you win. And if it doesn't, the JP haters should look to place the blame somewhere else - but of course they won't.

If we lose, it's always JP's fault. If we win, someone, or some other part of the team, gets the credit.

Because he's making a ****load of money and stinking the joint up. That's why. What you're asking fans to do is bury their heads in the sand and pretend all's ****ing grand.

There is no way I am going to evaluate his career like everyone else. That's exactly my point. Years of "don't evaluate him on one game...give him time"....and then this week "well he had his last chance in that game!" That's exactly why he shouldn't have been playing last week! If he had thrown for 9000 yards and 56 TDs in one game that one game would not in one way changed the outcome of the analysis about his career.
