View Full Version : Wow, is anybody watching the NE vs Philly game?

Wow, what a difference when a team actually has a coach who knows what he is
doing and isn't terrified of the opposition. Right now, Reid isn't coaching scared like Dickey does and it is working. This could change throughout the game, but I'm telling you guys, not only do we need to get rid of JP, but Dickey should be right behind him. We're always talking about finding a new QB, well we should be talking about finding a HC who can actually win big games also.

Coaching is every bit as important as the players.

I'm sold that Fairchild sucks. I'm sold that Jauron is just very average. And I'm on the fence about Fewel right now. That nickel package he put together today was a total f'n disaster.

Fewel has gotten a pass because of injuries, but he is as much to blame regarding this team's performance as anybody. Coaching has been this organization's achilles heel for many years and it will continue as long as Dickey is still HC.

I wouldn't care for a coaching change for the simple fact that we would just go out and get another mediocre cheap coach. Whats the point if they don't pony up for someone with competence.

Did anyone just see how Feely just completed that pass with an oncoming, un-blocked blitzer? Threw that pass over the head of the linebacker over the middle for a 15 yard gain. So thats how its done huh?

This AJ Feeley kid is pretty darn good. He is picking NE defense apart.

realdealryan
11-25-2007, 08:31 PM
Regardless of an interception, Feeley is making a lot of good, quick decisions. JP doesn't make quick decisions, good or bad.

ANOTHER TOUCHDOWN!!!

Blitzes don't even matter when you have a decent decision-maker and a few decent receivers, apparently.

I am going to give Fewell a pass, this team was and is depleted because of injuries, people starting that have no right to, scrubbs signed because even the people they signed because of injury got injured, some of the regs have been out for weeks and with in the last couple games have finally come back. Excuse yes, but a valid one that some are forgetting and let us not forget a couple of points the D is keeping the team in the games, save NE. You can't win scoring 10-14 points a game unless your playing the Dolphins or Rams every week.

He didn't...he was out. His knee hit out of bounds.

Mitchy moo
11-25-2007, 08:45 PM
He wasn't inbounds but the league wants NE to be perfect so why call a replay??

Why even have a replay in a NE game anyways?

The refs had a flag out to put them on the 1 but it was close enough to just call it a TD.

Mr. Pink
11-25-2007, 08:46 PM
He was inbounds, to be honest, but that shoulda drawn a review regardless.

realdealryan
11-25-2007, 08:46 PM
Anyone else notice that they are choosing to blitz on almost every play as opposed to dropping DTs into coverage? Give Brady less time or more time? I'm with the Eagles on this one, regardless of the final score.

Mr. Pink
11-25-2007, 08:47 PM
He didn't...he was out. His knee hit out of bounds.

His second foot and shin were in...it was clear on the replay they showed...like I said though, it shoulda been reviewed by the booth regardless.

He was inbounds, to be honest, but that shoulda drawn a review regardless. That's what I thought too..... And yeah, Philly blitzs a lot, always have since Jim Johnson became their DC.

Interesting to hear how Andy Reid thinks NE's secondary can be exploited. Most games for NE this year they have been up by so much it almost hasn't mattered. Everyone they play for the rest of the year is going to be very interested to watch the tape of this game.

Just like Shula. :bad:I just don't want them to have a perfect season. If they win the SB I can live with it (though I think a healthy Colts team will have something to say about that) but if they go undefeated and win the SB its going to be unbearable.

"The Patriots, the greatest team of all time"

"BB, the greatest coach of all time"

Blah, blah, blah. I don't want to have to listen to it. Part of it is wanting Miami to be the only perfect team but a big part of it is just not being able to stand the thought of a perfect pats team.

In my opinion, that's the central problem with the Bills. I sincerely believe this franchise will remain mired in mediocrity as long as Ralph Wilson is the owner - and calling the shots.

I hope he torches NE tonight, I mean burn the house down torches.Part of it though IMO is the system, I mean how many QB's have looked awfully good in that offense over the last couple years when Donavan has went down? We traded him to SD where he was the second string QB..... Only to suck it up and get demoted to third string status and eventually either cut or let go when his contract was up. Not sure which.

No doubt though since that first pass that got run back the dude has played very well today.

Nice job by Spikes again but Miami decided to let Wes Welker go, oops.I'm perfectly willing to bash our FO for some of the moves we have made over the years but not that one. We got a VERY good young center with the second rounder we got from NE who should anchor our line for a very long time.

It was a win win for both teams. It sucked to see him go though because he was a favorite. Rebuilding like we are we just needed a starting center a hell of a lot more then a 3rd wr. Even if that guy might be the best number 3 in the league.

I think Madden is right about this being a blueprint though. NE looked very beatable today. You have to have very good corners and safety help and you defensive line has to get pressure on Brady. But that D is venerable in the secondary.

Like I said though he got his chance here and blew it..... And if you think about it, you take away that pick 6 he threw to start the game and Philly probably wins. As well as he played at times he also threw it away both early and more importantly late.

Probably just a blueprint until next Sunday though. The colts game could have been a blueprint, it probably was until the Pats coached sealed up the holes that the Colts revealed a bit. We'll have to see next week though.

11-26-2007, 08:59 AM
the blue print is to exploit the slow front 7, control the clock, and attack brady.

IMO most of the pats short passes are decided on before the snap, there is no progression, he just puts the ball to where they know the hole in the D will be underneath.

if you attack and overload or blitz up the middle, and maybe figure out where they go when they see certain Ds you can do enough to win.

no one is unbeatable, unless jp is your qb then nearly any team is unbeatable.
