Whether you love him, hate him, or just know he's not that good and wish him the best, the question is, how much longer before he's no longer in the league?

I guessed 2 more years

If Todd fricking Collins can get a back-up job, then I think JP can at least do that. Who knows? We may even see him start again someday. But I do think he'll be able to stomach being a back-up.

He will be here for a few more years...As long as people like Grossman, Carr, Frerotte and Harrington are in this league then JP will have a job somewhere.

JP is probably going to have a David Carr/Joey Harrington/Byron Leftwich like career ahead of him.

He will get at least one more chance to start. Every QB usually does.

JP will be around for awhile. Wherever he goes next year, he will probably have a good camp and win the job. He then will lose the job sometime mid way because of his lack of consistency and he is easy to gameplan against. Take away his deep ball and he tanks. Teams will like him as a backup because he is good for one, maybe two games at a time.

that brings up an interesting second question, how will JP be received by the hometown fans when he comes back to the Ralph for a game? Bad QB but a nice guy. He really tried and he did make a difference for the city.

i'm guessing he won't get boo'd out of the place like RJ.

What if he ends up in Carolina this offseason and gets beat out by 45 year old Vinnie Testeverde for the starting job? That would be hilarious.

Problem is they are all better QB's than Losman. Even Frerotte and Harrington have beaten the patriots!

Actually what would be more amusing is if Minnesota signs him for a chance at the backup job and he loses, again, to Holcomb.

He'll kick around the league for at least 3 more years. I can see Gruden bringing him to Tampa. He thinks he can fix every broken QB. After that fails at least 1 more team will give him a shot.

I don't see how you can use him properly. He doesn't have the accuracy or the poise to fit any system IMO.

Jesus Christ. Jp is not the starter anymore. No more of these threads please. I thought it would be over with now that the Savior TE is starting

As bad/inconsistent as JP has proven to be, there are actually teams that are worse off. Plus, he will get plenty of years as a #2/#3. I voted 5+ years.

i agree....5+ years. Probably as a backup.

should i renew this poll after his last 2 games? or does everyone still stand by their original votes (ifyou can remember). I think i voted for 3 years. but i'd like to change it to less than 1 year.

I can't seeing him playing another game in this league.

I need someone to cut my lawn down here so I anticipate offering him a job this Spring.

that'd be great. you give him the job and then notice when you get home he's still standing on the drive way with the mower. "Hey, JP? What happened?"

"i'm still thinking if i want to cut up and down or side to side. But i think i did a pretty good job so far, considering all the circumstances. I think the mower liked hearing my voice. It's really ready to respond. "

then you look around and see 300 new trees planted.

If he sucks at it, it's all your fault.

And make sure your lawn's not too complicated for him to read. He may overshoot the yard a couple times too.
