View Full Version : Would you want McNabb here in Buffalo?

Yay or Nay? Do you think race wiil be an issue? If not,he should be here. The Bills will have $50,000,000 once they release J.P. (Just Pathetic) Johnson. I know Trent will be here, but like J.P. he can wait his turn. We need a decent veteran QB here as a starter or backup.

If we end up playing the WCO with Trent then McNabb would be a good mentor.

BTW, I hate the WCO .

I hate that race is always an issue. I could care less what ethnic background our QB is as long as we win. I am a HUGE Syracuse fan so I love Mcnabb for that. However, Donovan is old and injury prone. Lets get someone younger in here.

Yeah, we don't run the west coast offense. Even if we did, I think Donovan may be washed up. I'd look for him to go to a WCO team like Tampa Bay, Green Bay (if Favre retired), or Seattle (as a backup - not likely) if Philly let him go.

Yes. But for nothing more than a conditional pick.

I always have liked McNabb, but I think he will never be as effective. In his prime he was dangerous because he was such a great athlete and could move out of the pocket. He isn't that player any more, and his lack of accuracy is a bigger problem now that he is more of a pocket passer.

Injuries have robbed McNabb of his legs. Not only did he blow out his knee last year, but he also has an athritic ankle. He will never be the same player, and he isn't accurate enough to adjust to being just a pocket guy.

No - he's going to be 32 and the injuries have taken their toll in recent years.

Look for McNabb to end up in Chicago or Minn next year. Possibly even Green Bay if Favre retires after this season.

Why do you suppose that McNabb's backups have been out playing him the last couple seasons?

In his defense, McNabb was having an all-pro season last year before getting hurt.

Mcnabb will have WR's which Philly don't have much of.
He is still a good caliber QB.

McNabb lost his legs and will amount to nothing unless he improve his QB skills up to an above average level. He's looked like JP against Jacksonville ever since his injury.

Hell no on McNabb.

He can't have too much left. It looks like McNair all over again. Too many hits.

McNabb still has a great knowledge of being an all-star QB and could be useful to guiding Trent as well as a mediocre back-up.

Why not? Drew Bledsoe was a huge success. Lets sign every aging QB on the downside of their career. And we can always sign Michael Vick when gets out of jail too.

Check out www.benmaller.com. It says on there that an anonymous team inquired about McNabb earlier in the season, and the Eagles' price was three 1st round draft picks. No thanks.

This is from McNabb's own website, from a press confrence earlier in the year:

On whether he has ever given thought to playing for the Chicago Bears: "No. My thought is just ending my career here. Every game I play, I try to play it to the best of my ability, (while) not really focusing on anything like that. I'm going to be a Philadelphia Eagle throughout my whole career, and I expect that. If anything changes, it's out of my control; there's nothing I can do about it. I look forward to ending my career here in Philadelphia."

Chicago would make a lot of sense. He grew up in Illinois and Chi will almost certainly be looking for a QB.

I didn't know Rush Limbaugh was posting on ths board.....By some of your comments you think Mcnabb was just another scrub NFL QB who had never proven himself...Just ask the lions if he still got what it takes....Against the skins he threw 4 td passes....

The reason i don't want him is the price it would cost us...

The eagles were asking for 3 #1 picks...yes 3 ....now nobody is going to pay it .. But if i was Minnesota i would give up a #1 and 5 in 09.. But it will probably take more ...maybe.... depends if the eagles want to rid them selves of his huge salary....Which is my main reason for saying no... His huge salary would kill us...Sure he is injury prone but behind the Vikes line he should be fine .. Plus with a healthy Chester taylor and A. Petersen WATCH OUT FOR THE VIKES....
