I will post one of these daily sometimes it will be Bills related sometimes not. We will build a fantasy type team

Today we will address WR. I will post three players and you guys vote who you would chose on your team if you were building from scratch.

1. Hines Ward: Hines Ward is probably the best rounded reciever in football he blocks well, runs with the ball well and has hands of glue. The guy isnt top five at any one thing but he is good at everything. He is a leader in the locker room and is never a distraction. Although he cries a lot.

2. Lee Evans: Evans is a young deep threat who at this stage of his career has shown some sparks in being a number one reciever. He has solid hands and despite his size he battles for the ball well. His upside is incredibly high as he can stretch the field with the best of them. He is a current captain but may lack in the leadership dept.

3. TJ Housmenzadah: TJ had spent his career under Ocho Sinco but has shown the brilliance that could one day make him the #1 guy. He has great height and is able to go up and fight for the ball with great success. TJ is a quiet guy who hasnt shown much in the ability to lead a locker room.

There ya go you can only choose one, who would you build your team around.

none of the above.

hines - too old
evans - overrated
TJ - benefits from teams paying more attention to ocho cinco

Tough choice.

Hines Ward is Eric Moulds without the attitude.
Lee is who we know he is, though lately his mouth has gotten bigger.
TJ Housyomama I'm not convinced he could be a #1 without Chad Johnson. Plus he's ugly as hell.

So it's between Lee and Hines. If I were to build a team from scratch, I'd want a younger guy for years to come. I can't see Ward playing at this level for another 5 years.

Evans.

TJ has been the most consistent reciever in the league the last few years I think.... though some of that is likely due to Johnson getting a lot of attention.

If you want the guy that gives you a little bit of everything though, you gotta go with Ward here.

Evans unfortunately doesn't quite fit in the ranks with these other two yet in my book.

is this right now or in there prime?

In their prime this is a definite no-brainer for Ward. Today, it's none of them.

I tried to pick guys who I thought all had strengths to bring a team in the same class.

Hines is obviously the best but he's 31.
TJ is great but he has Chad to deflect.
Evans is young and promising with a few inconsistancies.

You're not always going to agree with the choices... pick your favorite of the bunch and dont be a bum.

So I'm not a bum, I'm gonna have to go with Hines Ward then! At least he'll be able to teach whoever is behind him the ropes.

Lee Evans. Find him an OC and he's golden.

Evans.

Now a combo of Evans and TJ would look real good!

I picked Lee Evans over Hines because of the age and over TJ because he is unproven as a #1 WR. I do like how TJ runs routes and he has soft hands and nimble feet, tough choice.

Which one is on the Bills again? Oh, okay...

Lee Evans. The others suck.

Hines Ward

I hate the Steelers and I don't like Ward but he is the best blocking WR and one of the most dependable receivers in the league.

TJ, cause he has the size to be a redzone threat, ala catch over Greer against us, speed to seperate defense, and has shown that he can coexsist with a huge ego player, in my book that makes him a team player, who would not mind the talent around him,
No brainer for me
ask this 5yrs ago and i would have said Hines Ward

Im gonna work under the assumption that we get a new QB when that vote comes up. Lee and Hines are like 1a and 1b to me id be happy with either and feel Evans will do better with a QB who isnt inept with his play.

The other legit WR is kind of why I voted for Hines.

I'm taking Lee Evans because he's still young and if you put another good receiver on the other side of him, he has the potential to be a top 5 receiver in the league.

OK we have a tie..... this is causing a bit of an issue with the QB poll

The Jokeman

I voted Ward as to me he's the only true #1 WR listed, yet if I were to start a franchise and wanted a WR it either be Larry Fitzgerald or Braylon Edwards.

Anyone who didn't vote for Hines Ward simply doesn't understand football...
