    Only an injury away!

Any player is only an injury away, from going from the bench to starting,
and JP is still on the roster, and shouldn't be treated like he's gone forever.
He may be, but he may not!
As long as he's a BILL, we need him.
When he's gone, then go ahead and rip him.
    This team needs EVERYBODY!

I would absolutley agree. Having a guy motivated to try to win his job back is great as a back up. And right now we need JP to be ready. However he's gone in the off season. I wouldnt want to stay if I were him.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I wouldn't want him here anyways. Having an unhappy player is never a good thing.

TRUE, after this year, he'll be gone for good.
(time to retire another one of my jerseys)

He wouldnt be a bad backup though. He knows the offense.

He knows the offense, but how good is he off the bench?

Trent will be looking over his shoulder the whole time.

if JP can't sell his house, he may opt to be a back-up .

he'll be better off on another team, as most other players would. i love this team, but like someone else said, coming to buffalo is career suicide

He is 2 for 2 coming off the bench.

I doubt that very much, he's too competitive to be a backup,
he'll be looking for a starting job somewhere else.

Not only is he too competitive but most QB's at least get one more shot and I can think of a handful of teams that would probably be interested in giving him that chance.

JP seemingly has done his best in games he has come in as a backup for injury anyways.

Hopefully this combination works, and stays put.
We can't afford anymore injuries, we're starting to get back in trouble again,
                              especially on D.
