    past draft profiles...

i was wondering if anyone knows where i could find previous player evaluations.. I currently have a subscription to this years draft centeral at TSN.com.. it is the easiest to navigate, and i feel like it gives me the most info..

but i started thinking about what the "experts" had to say about prior players...

    like schobel and henry..

anyone know where i can find bios and profiles on the last couple years of drafts?

i want to see what kind of knocks on players that made guys like clements and henry drop so low, when they obviously would have been higher first round picks had their production in the nfl been known..

    thanks.

I moved recently and have lost several of my old draft guides. That being said I found my Mel Kiper Jr drat guide for last year and seeing I am on a Josh Reed kick right now I will tell you wat mel had to say about him!:)

A tremendously explosive athlete, record setting receiver with the Bayou Bengals, Reed was nearly unstoppable at the college level. In 2001, he caught a school record with 94 receptions, averaging 18.5 yards per catch, and seven touchdowns. Against Alabama, he reeled in 19 balls for 293 yards, and in the Suagr Bowl against Illinois, he caught 14 more for 239 yards. Pretty amazing stats, concidering he made the permanent switch to wide reeiver basically just two seasons earlier. He wrapped up his prep carer as a tailback in Los Angeles with two outstanding seasons, totalling 4664 yards and 52 touchdowns. He played mostly tailback, but saw some time at WR and kickoff returner as a redshirt freshman in '99. Reed is a outstanding in the open field, picking up yards after the catch at an amazing rate. Despite his limited experience as a receiver, he's a tremendous route runner, explosive out of his breaks, and makes outstanding sight adjustments on the move. At only 5-10 1/4 and with less than spectacular 40 speed, Reed will be on a mission prve that he's not just a top drawer collegiate wide-out, but rather an all around dynamo who can go on and prosper in the NFL. * Folks, it's been proven time and time again that you don't need world class speed to excel as a top of the line WR at the pro level. Jerry Rice is the most obvious example. With Reed, however, he's not over 6-0 tall, so questions will still abound, despite his incredible productivity over the last two seasons in the SEC with the Bayou Bengals. In the end, a key asset for Reed will be his tremendously quick feet and overall explosiveness out of his cuts. In the area, he's at or near the top of the list when you look at the top wide-outs who have come out of the collegiate ranks the last few years.-Mel Kiper JR.

they said schobel was one dimensional, and would be a project player.

they spoke well of henry.. surprising he went in the 2nd..

i think we will see alot of guys that can produce like him this year in the second..

            i would love to have

suggs, smith, or brown.. i think they will all do well in the right situation.

that said that at least 3 teams gave jennings a first round grade.. and we got him in the third.

obviously a typo.. it says he runs a 4.3 40

they said clements is uninterested in run support..

wonder if brady would agree after clements "supported" removing his head from his torso on that bootleg.

                      Hey T...

It looks like you found some stuff, but I was searching to help you out… and here is some stuff I found searching on goggle. It is the archives from pro football weekly's draft coverage... and it is divided by position.

                      NFL Draft 2002
                      NFL Draft 2001
                      NFL Draft 2000
                      NFL Draft 1999
My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.

                      MY WIFE SAID THAT!!!

tough to want to give up on this guy.. he seems promising still.. hopefully he was just overwhelmed last year..

the guy did 36 reps on the bench press with his extremely long arms.. that is MUCH stronger than alot of DTs.. and ran a 4.8

man, i hope he comes around.

rofl.. CORY wire.. at least get the name right if your gonna dog him.

he did the bench 28 times.. impressive..

said he could play SS in the right scheme.. ours..

compaired him to adam archuleta, with less talent.. lol

man, the opinions on this guy ranged from first day player to chump...

i think him losing his bagage for the combine and running a bad time in someone elses shoes was a blessing for us.. he is gonna be a good nickle back.
