Was Jerome Bettis ever announced as a possibility?

The link on the front page says that along with Gash, Bettis was looked at.

    Anyone know anything about this?

I wouldn't want to have Bettis. He's no good at goal line. I had him on my fantasy team last year and I can remember numerous 1st and goal at the 3 or something and he'd strike out 3 times.

Hell no. Bettis has a lingering groin injury that he can't handle full time load.

Man you guys are incredibly fussy. No Bus as backup? You've got to be kidding me. Who else is any better as backup, or in a goal line situation that is availabe than that load?

I'll take Travis Henry in a goal line situation. And Bettis probably isn't gonna be a backup in Buffalo when he could start in several other places.
                  A lil' dab'll do ya!

I'll agree Bettis will not be a backup, and won't be coming here. That's why I can't believe no one would want him here. The guy is a horse.

No way to the bus, I would take Gary anyday. The RB I would really like is Stacy Mack from Jacksonville. The bus can just keep on traveling right passed Bills Dr.

And that's why Zereoue had so much playing time last season, right? Past injuries are catching up with him now. He's not as untacklable as he used to be. Lost a lot of speed too. For the money he would be asking for, NO THANK YOU.
