Unreal in the rain and pressure. What a throw! Best I've seen in a long time!

Bills fans, I'd like you to meet the medium pass.

That was a great throw, no doubt about it.

He had to anticipate where Reed was going to be and deliver the ball there calmly with 4 Redskins in the area. Simply put, that was the most skilled throw a Bills QB has thrown this year... and it won us the game. Go Trent!

super clutch

but did you see the angle from behind the qb - who was he throwing to. lol. im pretty sure it was reed but the ball was heading right for evans (i think it was) before reed stepped in front of it. that would be a kick wouldnt it lol

That was an awesome pass! I was thrilled to see it, because before that, he had a pretty mediocre game. Great pass, nice catch by Josh Reed. And props to Reed for going down on the ground to get the refs to blow the whistle.

not only did he hit him, he hit him in STRIDE, because if he doesn't, he doesnt pick up the extra yardage.

Unbelievable play under pressure.

Great throw. Now it's time to throw some of those passes earlier in the game instead of waiting until we have to

The Freddie jackson toss earlier was sweet, also. Nice read, nice delivery in stride.

as clutch a pass as i have seen this year.. the only other throw i can think of that was that big in recent years was the jp to price td against the texans..

and reed came through too.. monster catch and run.. looks like he was terrified to catch that one in traffic after last week huh? :snicker:

He threw a pass that put us in a good position to win the game, that's what matters.

The best throw I've witnessed lately by a Bills QB is Losman's pass to Evans for the 2nd 80+ yard TD in Houston last year. Between the defenders and Evans never lost any stride and the ball was a blur into Evans' hands from behind.

Having said that, you have to look at things in perspective. Edwards is a rookie, starting his 5th game. Losman at the time was a 3 years vet, already started 20+ games. To come back win this game is huge for Edwards, I'm sure. Again he may not do it pretty. Heck Brady wasn't doing pretty things in his 1st 3 years. And Edwards has yet to go through a "performance jump" off-season, like most NFL players experience from rookie to his 2nd year or 3rd year.

i was just about to post a question asking why all the complaining after a win? That was a great throw, i thought TE had a good game today.

People, rookie QB, 5th start, on the road in bad weather. 22/36 257

Im going to enjoy this. and get amped up for the fins. We're in the playoff hunt in December!

I never expected that.

don't let the complainers get to you. We're not a good team, but then, compared to NE no one is. I'm just going to enjoy the ride.

First off, describe to me what you see as "bomb".

Second of all.. Dink & dunk is much better than choke & suck, but thats just my opinion.

But it's ok bud :console: I know its like salt in an open wound for you right now but I'm sure everything will be ok. JP will end up 3rd stringing for some NFL team, and maybe you could go cheer them on instead?

Good point. Sure he was getting pressured on that play, but he still had a good amount of time to make that pass.

Wow! That post is completely idiotic! If you really believe that I was cheering his INTs and bad passes today, you are foolish. I was going crazy when he completed that sweet, clutch pass and when lindell kicked his 5th Field goal to win us the game.

Read his scouting reports Mike. He does not have a weak arm. May not be as strong as Losmans but who cares. I'll trade some arm strength for a QB with a brain and accuracy any day

Nobodys complaining. I simply just asked Mikey what he thought was a "bomb"?

I'd say a bomb is anything over 30 yards in the air. Versus Baltimore, Edwards threw from his own 20, to the Ravens 25 splitting 3 defenders in stride for a Lee Evans catch.

To me, that proves he can go deep when he feels it is the best option on the table.

How he felt pressure getting rid of the ball or using the time the O-Line afford him is so different from Losman.

Do you think we win the game today with Losman?

3rd and 4, no time left, on the road, do or die, in the rain, against an emotional runaway train, and Trent nails probably the best pressure pass I have seen a Bills QB make in I don't know how many years, threaded right across the middle between 4 defenders.
Clutch.
They used to say Brady had no long ball too.
Trents arm is fine.
The only thing wrong is Fairchilds schemes and his red zone offense.
Hey Jackson aint so bad either is he? :) I loved this kid in the preseason.

a QB with good pocket awareness makes his line look better.

every game TE's been in our o'line has looked pretty good to great.

JP the line tends to look mediocre for. They're blocking the same. but he rolls into pressure, or runs when he has time.

Kudos also to the rookie QB who is now getting sacked about half as much as JP did with the same o-line.

Is it because they play harder for him?

Not hardly. He gets the ball out and fast.

As accurate as he is on the short routes, the red zone TD's will come as soon as Fairchild begins to trust him a bit.

Also, just to add how sad is it to get neg repped for a -80 for commenting on a great pass thrown by our starting QB.

Come out from behind your neg LOSER! Or are you just back up QB worshiping?
