9:35 PT: ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed OT Roman Oben to a four-year deal. Financial details of the contract were not immediately available.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday accomplished one of their biggest offseason goals by signing starting offensive tackle Roman Oben to a new four-year contract, ESPN.com has learned.

The restructuring of Keyshawn Johnson's contract provided the Bucs with about $2.5 million in salary cap space, allowing them to finally hammer out an agreement with Oben. Financial details of the seven-year veteran's contract were not immediately available.

Even though coach Jon Gruden and offensive line assistant Bill Muir have made it a priority to upgrade Tampa Bay's blocking unit, they believed that the 30-year-old Oben was one of the players who had to be retained.
