All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Watching Fred Jackson play Sunday was a surprise! I knew he had some skill from preseason games and all... but I saw flashes of an excellent running back!
Is it possible... just maybe... that Fred is better than Marshawn?
Anyone, other than the 2 people I have on ignore, want to respond?
Yes, I agree it's possible, and that's not a diss on Marshawn Lynch. We'll see though. I'm certainly not ready to say he is right now. But we need to get this guy the rock and let him play. Either way, running back is looking pretty good these days.
Fair enough.... I guess in my perfect world... Lynch gets the carries on 1st and 2nd down, and Jackson is brought in on 3rd and long to give you that outside speed and athletic playmaking ability.
I wouldnt be surprised if someone attempted to try to trade for Jackson in the offseason as he looks like he could start on half of the teams in the league.

Jackson reminds me of Ryan Grant from Green Bay.... actually they are almost exactly the same.

This might not be as ludicrous a claim as some think - The former Division III standout from Coe College is definitely a balla and needs to continue to get carries even when Lynch is healthy.
Also Fairchild needs to incorporate this stud into the passing game as well because he might be a better receiver than Lynch (or some of our WR for that matter).
I was very impressed with the way Jackson played. He could turn into a real good #2 back. However, to suggest that he is better than Lynch is ludicrous.
I'd definitely start putting him more in the gameplan after that performance. I'd like to see some "pro-set" formations (Split Backs 3-WR) like the Seahawks run but with Evans, Reed, Parrish, Lynch and Jackson on the field.

I'd be surprised if Fairchild ever did that. If he was willing to do that, he should have done it with Lynch and A Train, rather than swapping A Train for Lynch on passing downs and tipping our hand.

he could be but it's hard to tell since he hasn't had as much carries as Lynch. Thing is, we won't know because I'm sure Lynch will get the carries based on where he was drafted.
