Edwards selected the Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Week

Trent Edwards was voted the Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Week, as selected by the pollsters on NFL.com and via Sprint wireless service. Edwards completed 22-of-36 passes for 257 yards and led his team on five scoring drives in the Bill's 17-16 win at Washington. Edwards led the Bills on a five-play, 60-yard drive to set up Rian Lindell's game-winning 36-yard field goal in the final minute.
Edwards was selected among five finalists, including Vikings kick returner Aundrae Allison, Panthers linebacker Jon Beason, Jets linebacker David Harris and Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
