    Bad News in Miami

CAMERON COACHING FOR HIS JOB ON SUNDAY?

It would be almost ridiculous to think that the Dolphins would fired head coach Cam Cameron before he even finishes his first year on the job.

But these are desperate times in South Florida, and with each passing loss the franchise is surely getting more desperate to secure at least one win in 2007. So if the Fins fall to 0-13 on Sunday at Buffalo, it could turn out that Mike Mularkey's play-calling effort against the Jets last week was merely a dress rehearsal for taking the job over once Cameron is canned and defensive coordinator Dom Capers is given the reins for the rest of the season.

Now that would be hilarious considering the success Mularkey DIDN'T have at his last head coaching gig.

    TAYLOR WANTS OUT OF MIAMI?

There's increasing talk in league circles that defensive end Jason Taylor, the 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, wants out of Miami.

    Um, who doesn't?

Taylor made some comments after the trade deadline suggesting that he would have liked to have been shipped out of town, and he surely was chagrined when the Fins paid washed-up linebacker Joey Porter $20 million in guaranteed money.

Taylor made a little noise about retiring after the 2006 season, and he could possibly tell the team that, absent a trade, he'll just pack it in.

Under contract through 2009, Taylor is scheduled to earn base salaries of $7.5 million and $8 million over each of the next two seasons.

Oooooh, now that would hurt. Their best defensive player wants to pack bags and skip out of town? We could sure use him.

    Sad times in Cryami.

As much as I hate to say it I believe it is the coaching not the players. Miami is a whole lot better then their record would lead you to believe.

Would Capers and Mularkey throw Cam under the bus tomorrow?

They'll probably take a PR specialist with the 1st overall pick.

              Re: Bad News in Miami

Buffalo was able to still be competitive after having a lot of folks on IR, but our 12 players at key spots sure didn't help the team out at all.

As far as Cameron--I really think he's paying for the sins of the previous coaches and the band aids that they used having the "we're this close " attitude when they were mortaging the future. As cliched as it sounds it was time to pay the piper, and after this season has unfolded, the payment has been long over due. I really think the team needs continuity at head coach, and at least they've tried to make moves to help out the team in the long run, but they've really had to pay for them at the immediate time though. At least Cam and Co. have been trying to acquire draft picks, which was starting to become a foreign thing to do in the organization. Last year we had around 10 draft picks, most of them have had playing time and also having some start (injuries will do that) has been good too. More draft picks have been acquired from some hard decisions instead of going through them like candy like the other regimes had done. I'd have to ask Clump, but it also seesm like Miami should be in really good cap shape as well, but as I said, the past transgressions have caught up with them.

As far as Taylor--I really hope he can retire with the team. I think some of the media has been pretty speculative about him leaving, using some conjecture, but if he deserves to compete for a championship, even if it's elsewhere. Anywhere but in the AFCEast, but I am afraid that he's spoken quite a few times about how much he admires Brady. Kinda makes a little puke come up.

If Capers were given the job for this year and Mularkey given the boot in the ass Miami wouldn't be o-fer at this point, that's for sure.

this game scares the heck out of me. Miami is beat up too, but they have a couple of guys on the team capable of making a big play in a close game. The Bills are getting pats on the back right now and the Phins have nothing to lose at this point. Dangerous game in my opinion.

I think it is really simple.

I think it is a screwed up franchise with a screwed up fanbase.

                          Aways has been.

But...I worry about the trapped animal.

Guys, it's not impossible that they could win,
BUT come on! Enjoy the game.
We'd have to play our worst game of the year to lose to an
                            0-12
                            team at HOME.
We're a dangerous animal too, we need EVERY WIN to have a chance!
If this isn't the easiest game on our schedule, what is?
GO BILLS! squish them when they're down!
