It's too early to tell.

It's only a few games.

It's been against poor teams.

Although those are all legitimate comments, my GUT tells me that this is our QB for a long time to come.

How can this come from you? this is an oxymoron from hell but I LOVE that you said it and feel that way!

The kid has complete game... long ball, decision making, poise, accuracy, pocket presence. I just hope he doesnt pull a roth in year 2.

Gee....TD/INT ratio now is...

JP = 4 and 6
Trent = 5 and 5

What's the next excuse for putting Edwards back on the bench now that the TD/INT ratio is better than the other guy's this year.

also thrown for more touchdowns than the other guy

"But it was only Miami, after all."

Trent has been my guy since the Jets game.
But...The Dolphin safety situation is so bad that he could have thrown for 800 today and it wouldn't change a thing.

What I liked was that he not only had a good game, but he showed a little fastball in his game.
Very nice job.

Now you don't care. That's funny.

Easy opponent today, but still ... four TDs. And they were good throws. The bomb was hit IN STRIDE, not chucked up for grabs. The first to Royal was well-executed PA rollout. The second to Royal was perfect.
Still had a few accuracy problems today, couple scary throws, but also several drops.

But he can make ALL THE THROWS. No more question of that.

I was there today and conditions had some say in his play. He looked good not great but for a rookie I continue to be impressed.

4 TDs is nothing to sneeze at.

Absolutely. I'm judging him like a veteran because he plays like a veteran, and that's the highest compliment one can give him

Trent played well. It was Miami yes, But he did what he was supposed to do and got the win in the way we should have. Nice performance.

just like those wins put up by Bledsoe, remember?? :D

seriously though...the kid has shown some good stuff...when he is going 15/22 210 and 3 TDs a game I'll be convinced.

No turnovers or costly mistakes. That's all I asked for today, but 4 TD's is impressive.

Great game today by Trent.

Go Bills!

i wouldn't have a problem with trent pulling a roth in his second year. that's when he won the super bowl

His touchdowns like Philgape said do show he can make all the throws
He threw a TD on the Run
He threw a TD deep middle
He threw a "bomb"
He threw a fade

We'll see how he does when everything is on the line next week.

Please don't say that name again. :P

Honestly I really have a good feeling about him. One of the biggest indicators to me that he's gonna be the man is how he scans the field. He doesn't lock in. He really seems to "get it", and combined with the fact he can bomb it as well as dump it, I don't see why he can't be our QB for the next 7-10 years.

I know, huge praise for a rook....but that's how I'm seeing him.
