I just read on bb.com that they have a 9 page article on him and I just heard on WGR that he will be on the cover this week. I'll definitely be picking up a copy of this one.

I doubt he'll ever play football.

What would be nice would be to see him at the Ralph for the Giants game.

the article is on cnnsi.com....it's really good. i didn't realize that the cold therapy was controversial.

And what is it with the religious right trying to impede medical progress at all costs. it's really annoying.

I'm happy Kevin has that fighters spirit and has made so much progress.

The religious right?

I know. What? :headscrat

Btw, that is a great article. I read it this afternoon and was really moved by KE's attitude, the description of the chain of events, and the miracle of it all.

Congrats to Kevin Everett for all the strides he has made so far. Truly a remarkable person. Congrats to the Bills medical staff and the staff at the hospitals that have cared for him.

Bills fans should be proud of the organization.

The religious right?

There was a line in there that Dr. Cappacio (sp?) received letters from the religious right to stop claiming it was the cold therapy and that it simply was an act of god working a miracle. It was only a line or two in the article.

But that just struck me the wrong way. No one should take away that the doctor tried a newer technique in treating the injury. it was a risk and non clinically proven, but it worked in this case. and no one should take away that Kevin's positive spirit, strength to want to overcome, and his follow through during recovery was what has gotten him so far along. Kevin could have given up in a lot of different parts of this process and no one would have faulted him. but he's really embraced the challenge and 4 months later much further along than anyone could have hoped.

I believe in god and all, but i don't think he plays favorites and i don't think he micromanages everyone's single events.
