The Bills announced that the team and wide receiver Roscoe Parrish have agreed to terms on a contract extension. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The three-year veteran has played in 39 career games and made seven starts, including five this season. Against Miami on December 9, Parrish broke the Bills franchise record for punt return yards in a season with 386 yards. His 936 career punt return yards rank second in team history and he needs 110 yards to move into first place.

Pro Bowl return men who double as competent receivers don't come along too often. Great job by the front office.

Oh, and dare I say props to TD for actually picking a worthwhile player who's part of the core.

Whoopty doo...great.

WHAT ABOUT EVANS!!??!??!

What about Evans? I'm not going to criticize the front office for re-signing a guy; maybe they're working on a deal for Lee, or maybe he isn't interested in negotiating right now.

I hope Angelo Crowell is the next guy to get a deal; he's a great linebacker but gets no national attention.

Agreed, Crowell and Evans, if resigned will solidify our core. Then the next crop will be Poz, Edwards and Lynch. Maybe Whitner.

I like the resigning but I want to see the figures, he will likely be setting the market price as returners like Hester come up on extensions in the next year or two, so this contract could be very interesting.

good move, need to get the ball to him on offense at least 3-5 times a game, not counting his returns, hope it is for 4 yrs

I believe one of TD's final acts was resigning him. I want to say a 4 year deal/extension. He resigned both he and Tmac that year I think.

Considering we paid our DEs $75 mil for 6 sacks, they probably paid Parrish $40 mil to be the punt catcher.

Crow signed a contract extension with Buffalo in December, 2005.
12/28/2005: Signed a three-year, $6.5 million contract extension through 2008

Exactly. He better not get paid more than a good #3 WR because that is all he is. His true ability lies on ST.

Good move and I really think his a bigger threat than Josh Reed, but the Bills still need to sign Evans and I certainly hope they look to the draft for and BIG INSIDE WR that can help open Evans downfield.

The guy doesn't have to be fast, just a good possesion receiver that makes his presence known inside. Reed handles the part but just isn't physically capable of carrying it to the next level.

Both Reed and Parrish are excellent 3rd choices at WR. And Roscoe add a little something by being an excellent return man.

out team is willing to err on the side of overpaying to keep young guys who kick ass on the team.

now, if cribbs or hester are FAs this off season, they are gonna get a ton to move somewhere, this is a money saving measure to get the deal done early.

i think ralph will be willing to go beyond cash to cap to keep guys (lynch, trent, peters, etc.) who he thinks are people the team needs.

they tried 3 times to sing london, they just didn't pay as much as the skins did. nate and TKO wanted out, and we know marv will pay for linemen.
