5:27 PT: Updating previous reports, the Sun-Sentinel reports the Miami Dolphins are open to trading backup restricted free agent DT Jermaine Haley now that they signed DT Jeff Zgonina, according to Dolphins senior vice president Rick Spielman. However, Spielman said the team would not just give Haley away. “We’re not just letting a good player go,” Spielman said. “If they get an offer sheet, we’ve got enough [salary cap] room to match. And a trade has to make sense.”

Dolphins backup defensive tackle Jermaine Haley will take his first step toward playing elsewhere, making a free-agent visit Monday to Green Bay.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said the Washington Redskins also have expressed interest in Haley, a restricted free agent seeking a starting job.
