Can you blame the building of the Fieldhouse for the pussification of the Bills?

I believe that in order to be considered a bad-weather team, that team needs to practice in the same elements they are supposed to play well in (ie. snow, cold).

We have always prided ourselves in having a team that plays well in the elements. Well, for the last 10 years or so... we haven't played well in the elements.

Is it because they practice in an indoor practice facility instead of ourside in november and december?

No it is because we have kinda sucked for the last 10 years.

I would be curious to know what franchises do/dont have an indoor facility

Me too. Its ok to have an indoor facility, but don't use it exclusively.

I thought that I did see that the team did practice outside this week. I guess Dick forgot to bring in snow machines to simulate the blizzard conditions they faced on Sunday.

Out of curiosity... why wouldnt they bring in a show machine and put some snow on the practice field outside... then practice on it all week... learning to throw the ball in snow, catch in cold weather, run in slippery conditions.

How about the pussification of teams like:

When I first went to the Ralph, the called Rich, it was 20 years ago and they had a practice dome then. The filed house sits on the spot where the practice dome was, or very close to it.

How long was teh practice dome there for? How many practices did they hold?

My point is you are saying they are not accustomed to the weather as they used to be and this inability to play in the elements has been going for 10 years. Well the practice dome was built (I don't know when) to save them from practicing in the elements and I remember it being there 20 years ago, so I don't see much of difference.

The bottom line in yesterday's game and preformance from many of the players is this was the first real ugly weather game they played in. Are you willing to have them practice in blizzard situations to risk injury, fatigue or even illness?

I believe that the practice week prior to a cold-weather, possible snow game (Cleveland, Chicago, Green Bay, New England, Pittsburg, etc) should be practiced outside at least for a full day. Not 15 minutes at the end of practice to "acclimate you" to the conditions. Hell, I can play for 15 minutes in the snow... its hour #2 that kills ya... when you cant feel your fingers to catch a ball, when you cant feel your toes to make a cut.

I won't neccessarily blame the fieldhouse.

I like our draft picks but I think some of it has to do with drafting people that have never played in the conditions. They aren't used to it.

What about the fans who don't have heated benches or warming gloves the players do sitting on the sideline? What about the fact the fans have to sit the entire time and don't have the ability to run around the field with adrenaline flowing?

Total BS IMO

it isn't so much the field house but I think they got rid of the outside practice field and from what I have heard they do not practice in the stadium any longer...

They should practice on broken glass. That'll toughen them up.

Seriously I think the board his some new lows with this thread and some of the others eg djjimkelly.
