all games would be worth 3 points. If you win in regulation you get 3 points if you lose in regulation you get 0 points. If you win in OT or a SO then you get 2 points and if you lose in OT or a SO you get 1 point.

Makes a bit more dayyum sense if you ask me!“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.

Re: NHL talking about changing the point system now
Whatever they do, they better stick with it or else its going to keep confusing the new/casual hockey fan....“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.

Re: NHL talking about changing the point system now
and they were talking about this on Versus tonight in the second intermission of the Red Wings, Capitals game. Keith Jones doesn't like it "says he likes how the NHL does the point system now". Brian Englom said "that the NHL needs to change the point system that three points will come in very handy when teams are fighting for the last playoff spot later in the season".Last edited by BillsSabresB.C.T.
