    Snow Play

The Jim Kelly led Bills knew how to adjust in order to produce in the wind & snow.

Anderson, Braylon Edawrads, Joe Jurivicious & Lewis altered the way they played the game in order to succeed under those same conditions on Sunday.

Trent and our WR's (and to some degree Lynch) did not.

I'll blame this whole thing on the coaches...

    1) The game planning blew.
    2) Unless you want to spend an entire career learning how to produce under those conditions, YOU HAVE TO PRACTICE IN THEM!

    The announcers saw it clearly...
    1) "Lewis always steps within the framework of his body."
    2) "Braylon Edwards is running routes like he has 2 sore feet."

WHY CAN'T OUR STAFF SEE IT?

Jamal Lewis is a short strider, he takes quick "jab" steps. That's his running style. He didn't have to adapt or alter his way of playing, in fact his way of playing is tailored to poor field conditions.

It's not easy to alter what you normally do, everyone knows this, in the heat of the moment or on the fly.

None the less... They must... They play for Buffalo. Those conditions are to be expected... ESPECIALLY IF WE MAKE IT TO THE 2ND SEASON!

Issues like these are exactly why I can't imagine why anyone could entertain Jauron as coach of the year, let alone a good coach. He's good with players, but he's a terrible game day coach. Not much different than Marv.

Braylon Edwards made the catches that the guys on our team couldnt make. The ball was sailing on Anderson too, Edwards just got after it.

The Browns played with a lot more desperation than we did
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
          It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

It's not like Anderson mastered the weather. He completed 37.5 percent, a lower percentage than Trent. They just made a few more medium-range plays to their superior receivers (the biggest one on a lucky bounce), and their running game was more effective. Their offense is that much better than ours, has been all season. And in a game like that, defensive rankings are irrelevant. The game says nothing about either team that wasn't the case before.
It would take a HOF quarterback to have a good game in that kind of extraordinary weather. The only one I can think of who could come close is Favre.

We could've had Barry Sanders in his prime and Fairchild would've lost us the game anyways.
