</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>SPIKES COULD BE OUT FOR THE SEASON: Takeo Spikes may not be facing his former team next week after suffering a torn rotator cuff last Sunday against the Cowboys. It happened early in the game, but Spikes played through it unaware of how extensive the damage was in his shoulder. It's unclear whether he can play with the injury or not moving forward. It's apparently a matter of whether he has strength in the shoulder or if he can lift his arm far enough to play effectively.
The Philly papers (http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/99-12182007-1457971.html) are even questioning whether his future with the Eagles is now in doubt as he's due $5M next season.

The poor guy just can't catch a break.

his first 7 years in the league, he only missed one game and it wasn't even due to injury- it was for a funeral or something like that.

Then, all of a sudden it's just one thing after another for the last 3 seasons.

It sucks, too, because before his injury he was one of the best in the NFL.

Maybe they'll cut him and we can bring him back for depth at $1m a year and get rid of Ellison. He and Poz can have a boxing match for #51 and they can donate the money to charity.

I feel bad for the guy. he was such a good player before the injuries.

it's unfortunate beacuse i liked spikes. however, if he is going to have these injuries, best on someone else's payroll than on ours. Imagine what you would get for a trade for him now. probably very little.

the guy is like the hope diamond for the teams he plays for.

Feel bad for him as a person, not so much since he isn't a Bill. Already stated he wanted to leave so don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

My guess is he did it during his stupid ass motivational speech in the huddle before kickoff.

Crowell, Poszluzny, Digorgio and Ellison are all > Spikes

He actually was starting to play pretty well in the second half of the season. He had a real good game against the Pats.

I wouldn't take him back. I actually want the Bills to make the playoffs next season.
