All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

..or at least swatted it away from the goal posts?
Is there a rule against doing so? Just curious
“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.
If Parrish, being 4'10" could jump that high and swat the ball down I'd be surprised.
Honestly, I don't think there is a rule against it. It's not like goaltending I don't beleive. But I hae yet to see someone jump high enough over the crossbar to even have a chance. Even the guys who dunk the ball have a tough time getting that high, so I doubt Parrish could.
Black men can jump. I dont care how tall they are. The ball nearly hit the cross bar.

no rule that I know of...don't know if he could have done it...he was leaning in the other direction though, don't know if he could have reached if he tried.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
I don't know what you are talking about...but I also can't imagine if that were legal that every team would have a guy there trying to swat lower kicks away.
The goal posts are 10' off the ground. If the ball clears it, because of the angle, it's going to be at least 10'6" or 11' off the ground, most likely higher. So, not only would 5'6" Parrish have to jump high enough to knock the ball down, he'd have to time it perfectly and judge the exact spot where the ball would cross the goal post.
Even if there's no rule against it, it's damn near impossible.

It is against the rules to do this, but I can't find a specific reference - hold on...
"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"
The defense will likewise line up all or nearly all of its players near the line of scrimmage to try to block the kick. The defense can only try to block the kick at the line; it cannot attempt to bat down a field-goal attempt at the uprights like a goalie.
