All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Jeff Faine is probably the best name on that list for a starting center...Oddly enough if we sign him, he'll have replaced Melvin Fowler twice in his career.

and let me guess you'll be calling for us to sign LeCharles Bentley in two years? [/sarcasm]

No offense to LeCharles, but I hope the Browns cut him this offseason. Two years of high salary and zero production. On top of the fact who knows if he'll ever be the same player. Sometimes it's better to cut your losses and move on.
The funnier part is Kuehl used to be the Browns long snapper back in the Gardocki days.
OK... wait a tick... we have Albright, Todd Collins, London Fletcher, and previously Andre Reed and Bruce Smith... is Washington where all the ex-Bills go to retire??
Melvin Fowler is average. This position needs a definite upgrade. Would love to see Jeff Saturday as a bill if he were up for free agency.
What center's are out there in free agency that you would like to see as a bill next season?
We should have never got rid of Trey Teague, he was a beast and the best center we had since Kent Hull. I would't mind resigning him if he's still out there.
I don't think there are any FA upgrades available. This is the position of most concern to me. No immediate impacts available in the draft either. There is like one good one coming out, and we really can't afford a 1st or 2nd on one. If the Bills are set on trading Losman, maybe we can package him and Fowler for a good center.

While I wouldn't mind an upgrade for Fowler, he still is at least an average center. For those who need their memories refreshed, that means he's OK. and there are centers out there who are worse. That means you don't need to make a knee jerk reaction as if this were an emergency. My suspicion is that Buffalo will draft a promising center like Steve Justice, and give him a year in the weight room to add 30 lbs of muscle.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
