Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters is almost certainly out for the game because of the groin injury he suffered against the New York Giants, and Kirk Chambers took all of the snaps at the position during the workout.
That was expected, but what wasn’t expected was that wide receiver Josh Reed and strong safety Donte Whiter were sidelined and their status for the game is up in the air.
Reed has a sore lower back, an injury he has been dealing with for a few weeks, so coach Dick Jauron thought it would be wise to let him rest.
As for Whitner, he sat out with what Jauron described as head congestion. Whitner was sent for tests and Jauron said, “He was very uncomfortable and hopefully it will be just a day or two.’’
No need to have anyone be injured in last game since it does not make a difference. Take whatever cautions necessary.
