Stafford has concussion

Drew Stafford and Paul Gaustad sat out practice with injuries and Maxim Afinogenov left HSBC Arena ice early today as the Buffalo Sabres worked out for more than an hour before leaving for New Jersey and Friday night's game against the Devils. Stafford has the most serious injury of the three. He left Wednesday's 5-3 loss to Ottawa due to a concussion and coach Lindy Ruff said he's "going to be out for a period of time."
