At least the Texans and Panthers won!

I dont think the Bears winning mattered since one of the Bears or Saints winning would have still meant the loser picked ahead of us.

The Lions choked big time.

So lets pray Denver and Arizona win today! That will bump us up 2 more spots

Nothing like hoping our team can draft in the top 10...

Didn't we pick 12th last year? Kind of going backwards?

Well since we finished with the same record as last year might as well hope we end up higher in the draft.

there will be a solid dt/wr/corner there when we pick.

if we get dt and or wr in fa, the corner would be a HUGE addition to our team. if one of the qbs falls to us we might be able to trade down and then package all our extra picks into like 4 or 5 day one picks. that with a FA wr might be our best bet.

The Bills have moved up two slots.. They can move up one more if Denver wins ...So believe the highest they go is 12..

They were 15.

Panthers and Bears both won, which brings them to 13. If Arizona and Denver win they will move to 11.

no way we pick at 10th we need to see strentgh of schdule for whole league before we know how we have done vs other 7-9 teams.

im sure we will pick last of the 7-9 teams becuz of 2 games agst the 16-0 pats i know the 1-15 dolphins help equal it out we dont have a under 500 opp winning % so wont be good for us vs team with same record

i dont know for sure but rough guess right now

I'm assuming Buffalo is going to end up picking around 12th. For me that raises the possibility of trading down. I don't see Buffalo drafting a CB, but they could I suppose. I think a WR like Kelly or Bowman is a reach at #12. So will they go for a top DT (Ellis) or maybe a big time LB at 12 or do they trade down a few spots and pick up another 3rd round pick? Interesting dilemma.

If there are no players of good value at the #12 spot, Tiger, why do you feel that someone would want to trade into it?

The trend lately is for teams to shy away from trading.

If nothing else, the Bills should be pretty comfortable with working with the #12 spot. They've been in and around that pick a number of times in the past decade.

If the Bills pick 12th or thereabouts, I would expect them to try to get a "difference maker" on either side of the ball: S.Ellis, if he is still there, would fit the bill on defense (with Dorsey going in the top 5, he's the only DT I would want to see the Bills take at that spot), even though it's likely that they will be able to still get a good DT (perhaps Okam) in the second round; but, more likely, I can see them leaning towards taking a big, fast WR, M.Kelly or A.Bowman both fit that description, although I think Kelly might be more explosive, to help open up their offense.

Because the WR and DT classes are fairly deep, in the sense that it is likely that there will be a good player at those positions available when the Bills pick in Round 2 (Okam, Hardy, etc.), it wouldn't surprise me if the Bills went for a CB like Cason or M.Jenkins with their first pick, but I think that they will probably feel that their defense has played well enough to win more games if they can make the offense more productive. IMHO, taking a CB in Round 1 would really depend on how deep they feel the CB class is and whether the trade-off of upgrading their CBs is worth what they would end up with if they were to wait until Round 2 or 3 to address their needs at WR, TE and D-line. With the way that Greer and McGee have played and the other CBs that they have coming back, I kind of doubt that they would pass on a "difference making" WR or DT in favor of a CB.

As much as I would like to see the Bills grab a top TE, with Baltimore's pick in the 3rd Round being as high as it will be and the depth of the TE class, I think that they will wait until Round 3 (or maybe later--which would make me very nervous) to take a TE. F.Davis and M.Rucker are likely to be gone by then, but they still may be able to get a pretty good TE, even if they miss out on those two, in the 3rd Round.

With the way things are falling, there's a decent chance that the Bills will be able to address most of their most pressing needs in Rounds 1-3, if the players that they take develop into the kind of players that you would expect players taken in those rounds to become.

With Posluzny, Simpson and G.Wilson coming back, I doubt that they will use an early pick on a LB or safety. With what they have invested in their O-line, the fact that this is not a particularly good or deep O-line class, and the general belief that continuity is important to the effectiveness of an offensive line, I doubt that the Bills will look to make any big changes to their starting offensive line--which likely means that they will not tab an offensive lineman until the middle rounds.

After watching the Bills receivers this season, I think that the team needs a big, fast WR who can get separation, take some of the pressure off of Lee Evans, and make it difficult for opposing defenses to put 8-9 men in the box even more than it needs a DT or CB. A big, fast TE would also be a big help, but IMHO would not make as much of a difference as a good # 1a/# 2 WR would make in the overall scheme of things.

But, of course, that's just my opinion.

I have Buffalo picking 10th or 11th, based on Strength of Schedule. They have the same SOS as Denver, so a coin flip will determine who goes first.

The 3-5 teams (Atl, KC, Oak) will have to be settled by a coin flip, as they all have the same SOS. Ditto Chicago/Detriot at 14th/15th.

The bottom 3rd of the draft is still up in the air until the playoffs are complete.

The Pats ended up with the 7th pick.

Whether or not there are players available depends a lot on what a team needs. It's entirely possible you're right and Buffalo would have difficulty finding a trading partner. The draft is still a long way away, and all of our posts are well into speculative thinking, so why not speculate.

This is pathetic that come the last week of the season us Bills fans are celebrating a higher draft position instead of a playoff game the following week. We are at 8 years and running without a playoff game. This franchise has currently reached the old Bengals and current Cardinals levels of futility.

Its either 11th or 12th TD. Pending coin flip. Sorry bro soooo CLOSE but you lose

It'll be 12th.

I forgot they changed it this year to include division and conference record. The draft order is determined by:

1) Win%
2) SOS%
3) Super Bowl winner drafts last
4) Super Bowl loser drafts second to last
5) Divisional Record
6) Conference Record
7) If a playoff and non-playoff team end the season with the same winning percentage, the non-playoff team selects before the playoff team regardless of strength of schedule.

Because Denver has a 3-3 division record to the Bills 4-2, Denver will get the edge. Both teams are 6-6 in conference play.
