2006 1 11 Jay Cutler Broncos QB Vanderbilt
2005 1 11 Demarcus Ware Cowboys DE Troy State
2004 1 11 Ben Roethlisberger Steelers QB Miami (OH)
2003 1 11 Marcus Trufant Seahawks DB Washington State
2002 1 11 Dwight Freeney Colts DE Syracuse

I'm not sure this is right. Buffalo moved up three spots between their loss, Carolina's win over Tampa Bay, Chicago's win over New Orleans (would have moved up with either outcome), and Arizona's win over St. Louis. But unfortunately, the New York Jets beat the Kansas City Chiefs to ehance our strength of schedule in the AFC East enough (and to weaken the Denver Broncos' SOS in the AFC West enough) to allow the Broncos to tie us for draft position visa vi SOS. Here are our opponents records:

Buffalo: 132-124
Denver: 132-124

It looks like it will be a coin flip between Denver and Buffalo to pick 11th.

No, head-to-head isn't ever a criterion for determing draft order, even to break ties.

Yep, the second tie breaker is division/conference record and we tied Denver's Conference record of 6-6.

I'm hoping it's #11 because #12 hasn't been as kind.

2005 1 12 Shawne Merriman Chargers OLB Maryland
2004 1 12 Jonathan Vilma Jets LB Miami (OH)
2003 1 12 Jimmy Kennedy Rams DT Penn State
2002 1 12 Wendell Bryant Cardinals DT Wisconsin

It does appear the Bills will be picking #11.
