    Charlie Casserly

Buffalo has a lot of young talent and needs a proven NFL personnel guy who can go out and find the proper vet peices to compliment the roster.

It's not the time to take a shot with some first-time GM, especially if it's one from within this organization who has a recent apalling track record with personnel decisions and contract negotiations.

Who knows what kind of GM he'd be.. But that damn Charlie Casserly from CBS (Former Texans guy, right?) sounds like he'd be a good candidate. Didn't he draft Mario Williams over Bush before stepping down? If so, and I think I'm right.. Then that's my choice.

    Or Ron Wolfe.

NOT TOM MODRAK, RUSS BRANDON or Jim OVERDORK

haven't studied a lot of Casserly's moves as GM.

I just know he took Williams over Bush.. And didn't he hire Kubiak as coach there? (who I think is an excellent coach).

I"m sure he's also made some bad moves. Fortunately if he were here, we'd already be used to that.

I also like the intelligence he shows on television each week.

Casserly was fired after that draft I think and I believe ive heard Williams was the choice made by others.

Didn't he also draft the 2005 NFL defensive rookie of the Year DeMarco Ryans?

I'm not saying the guy is a God. But he's a quality veteran, he obviously knows how to draft. He knows the league and he's well respected.

This is now my guy. I'm on his bandwagon.

Ron Wolfe was sitting next to Parcells in the Miami Dolphins press box watching the game.

You're correct. Wolfe was brought in this week as an advisor. Don't think Wolfe wants to be a GM in this league anymore.

Heard that Ron Wolfe is supposed to take over as GM replacing the soon to be axed Randy Mueller.

I'd put a little more thought into a GM choice than just one pick. Was David Carr Casserly's guy? How did that work out? He may have picked a winner with Williams but you have to consider the dismal record the Texans had under him. Many years, no improvement. Personally I'm skeptical of anyone doing TV because he is out of work in his chosen field. Maybe it's an irrational fear of white-haired guys who worked for ESPN.
