Here are some things I want to talk about. I will number them to make them easier to respond to.

1) Gannon mentioned during the game that every time Edwards does hand signals to the WRs it is a run play. WTF? Then he kept pointing it out. That is huge. How long has that been going on?

2) There was a Sam Aiken sighting. I seen him on the field before, but always during a run play. I thought this might be a way the defense was being tipped. "Look here comes Aiken, must be a run." But he caught a pass. The only one thrown to him this year was good for a first down.

3) Our WRs were absent. Heck, Sam Aiken was tied for the team lead in receptions by a wide receiver. Aiken, Lee, Reed, and Parrish each had 1. I don't think Lee was happy with Edwards.

4) I just watched Josh Reed speak ill of the play calling on the news. He basically said it was basic and predictable.

5) That was a pretty bad throw from Edwards to Lee deep today. Just thought it was worth pointing out. He threw deep once, and it was awful. Wobbly and woefully under thrown.

6) There was a Youboty sighting. I don't think he had a great game, but he did get an Int. He looked funny trying to return it, so I don't see him fielding punts anytime soon. But, I thought it could do things for his confidence (considering I have felt he lacked it). That was until I seen him completely whiff on the CB blitz. It looked pathetic. And, it wasn't the first time he looked bad doing it.

I think Scott did well in that blitzing CB role a few weeks back.

7) Ellison had a sack. Sorry buddy. Too little, too late.

8) If you are at the 50, I think you should end the first half with hailmarys, not runs up the gut. Just my opinion. And, I think if you are scrambling out of the pocket at the end of a half, you chuck it long. Not out of bounds.

9) At the beginning of the year, we didn't use the screen at all. In recent weeks it has been used more and more. It could have worked nicer today if there was a downfield threat at all. But it was utilized. With the emergence of Fred Jackson to add with Lynch, the Bills are a screen team all of a sudden.

10) I wanted the Bills to sign Kevin Curtis this past off season. He would have been perfect. He got a 6 year $32 million contract. The Bills finished the season with like ten million to spare from what I read.

11) Joselio Hanson. He is the guy that ran down Lynch from behind. I was waiting to see a play like that were Lynch had no one between him and six. I was wondering about his break away, straight line speed. I don't think it is elite. Oh well.

12) Trent did look good running for a first down at one point when the pocket collapsed. 12 yards. Worth mentioning.

13) Parrish's spin move on punt returns is awesome. Cracks me up how that little dude be breaking tackles.

14) The announcers pointed out Reed has the most receptions in the league with out a TD. 51 catches and zero TDs.

Usually I have more to talk about, but I though this was a pretty blah game. I could have ended every number with a "what do you think?" But, I figure I will just add it here.

What do you think?

1. Gannon is the best color guy in broadcasting, period. He knows the game well and breaks it down for the viewers, like the hand signalling. If Gannon can see it, there's going to be some LBers in the league seeing it and telling his men in the box run.

2. YaY for Sam Aiken? Good luck with whatever your career is after you're done here.

3. Lee got hurt early and was done for the game.

4. Well Josh, the offense's execution was boring and predictable too, how about you make a play or two before criticizing?

5. Still hit Lee in the hands. But it was a duck.

6. There might be a Youboty sighting on the waiver wire come August 1st. It honestly wouldn't surprise me at this point.

7. I have no opinion on Ellison, either good or bad. He's a nonfactor and serves no purpose.

8. That whole play I was watching the receivers, not 1, and I'm serious on that, came back to the QB. Or went with him to the right to provide a target for him to throw to. Rule of thumb in football as a receiver, if your QB is in trouble you come back to the ball. NO ONE did this. It's a microcosm of the ineptness of our offense this year. And an indictment of just how badly we need offensive weapons. On top of the fact why we run a basic offense. Coming back to the QB on plays like that one is a BASIC instinct and rule and we don't even get that one right.

9. The screens don't work anyways. Why? Because our OL has no semblance of athleticism.

10. Kevin Curtis woulda been a nice complimentary piece, but the fact is, he's still not a number 1 receiver. Nor a number 2. More of a slot guy.

11. Was it hard to already have figured out that Lynch doesn't have breakaway speed? He's a tough between the tackles pounding runner.

12. sure!

13. One of the best PRs in the league.

14. The announcers should have also pointed out that Reed is unable to make any game changing plays. He's just there.

Here are some things I want to talk about. I will number them to make them easier to respond to.

1) Gannon mentioned during the game that every time Edwards does hand signals to the WRs it is a run play. WTF? Then he kept pointing it out. That is huge. How long has that been going on?

No and it appeared to start happening consistantly when Evans was out. Maybe they are not on sync with Peters out.
It stopped so someone caught on.

2) There was a Sam Aiken sighting. I seen him on the field before, but always during a run play. I thought this might be a way the defense was being tipped. "Look here comes Aiken, must be a run." But he caught a pass. The only one thrown to him this year was good for a first down.

I thought that was his only catch as well. Definitely on re-evaluate list this year.

3) Our WRs were absent. Heck, Sam Aiken was tied for the team lead in receptions by a wide receiver. Aiken, Lee, Reed, and Parrish each had 1. I don't think Lee was happy with Edwards.

Lee has not been happy with Edwards since Losman took his place so nothing new. No one was on sync for Edwards was constantly under pressure. Bad game by OL.

4) I just watched Josh Reed speak ill of the play calling on the news. He basically said it was basic and predictable.

Well it mostly is safe now to express opinions. Several times he was open and they went with TE or back underneath. Trent seemed to be more concerned with moving chains and cutting interceptions which seemed to be game plan.

5) That was a pretty bad throw from Edwards to Lee deep today. Just thought it was worth pointing out. He threw deep once, and it was awful. Wobbly and woefully under thrown.

Wasn't worse throw we have seen by either QB but not a lot of wind either.

He shows why "draft gurus" were wrong about him being a 1st round pick.

Scott appears to be used as that DB role - sometimes CB and sometimes safety. Gets another shot in camp,

7) Ellison had a sack. Sorry buddy. Too little, too late.

He gets another shot at camp but Bills need to look for replacement.

8) If you are at the 50, I think you should end the first half with hailmarys, not runs up the gut. Just my opinion. And, I think if you are scrambling out of the pocket at the end of a half, you chuck it long. Not out of bounds.

They tried something, it did not work and they didn't try anymore. Rather they just kneeled but maybe Lynch could have burned a long one but I did not think so. Hurt not having two burners.

Linemen also got better at blocking it - in beginning of year it was terrible and Losman had no touch on short passes.

10) I wanted the Bills to sign Kevin Curtis this past off season. He would have been perfect. He got a 6 year $32 million contract. The Bills finished the season with like ten million to spare from what I read.

Over-estimate by some sources. The same sources always seem to over-estimate but no reliable cap figures were available. Ask clump.

11) Joselio Hanson. He is the guy that ran down Lynch from behind. I was waiting to see a play like that were Lynch had no one between him and six. I was wondering about his break away, straight line speed. I don't think it is elite. Oh well.

He still was recovering from ankle sprain. Give him more time.

12) Trent did look good running for a first down at one point when the pocket collapsed. 12 yards. Worth mentioning.

Not expected to run that far and does not have Losman's wheels but not a Blesdsoe either.

13) Parrish's spin move on punt returns is awesome. Cracks me up how that little dude be breaking tackles.

He does not seem to be as dangerous as other punt returners and other teams are willing to kick to him.

14) The announcers pointed out Reed has the most receptions in the league with out a TD. 51 catches and zero TDs.

Usually I have more to talk about, but I though this was a pretty blah game. I could have ended every number with a "what do you think?" But, I figure I will just add it here.

Whole redzone offense was poor. The times he got TDs other years was by breaking tackles like in the Patriots game last year.

What do you think?

Not a run for the U-Haul game but also not as much as I expected. Obviously Peters/Evans out really hurts our offense.

Thanks guys. I Guess I want to add that Evans played nearly a full half. He was injured at the two minute warning.

I just can't understand why we don't throw to Aiken, Jenkins, or even Lynch more often. Just change it up once throw it deep to Jenkins/Aiken matched up against their dime back and see what happens.

O, and Oaf, I think you can change your sig. If we beat the Browns and won out, we would have still missed the playoffs.

he was our best reciever all year.

he was our best reciever all year.Well, you gotta say Lee was.

But, I completely agree with Reed. Does anyone think the play calling was good?

Reed did what he could. This year he had one of his best seasons.

<table class="w655px datatablecell" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr class="ltblueback"><td>2007</td> <td> Buffalo Bills (http://www.nfl.com/teams/buffalobills/profile?team=BUF) </td> <td>15</td> <td>51</td> <td>578</td> <td>11.3</td> <td>38.5</td> <td>30</td> <td>0</td> <td>8</td> <td>0</td> <td>33</td> <td>0</td></tr></tbody></table>
Better then Peerless Price last year.

<table class="w655px datatablecell" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr class="whiteback"><td>2006</td> <td> Buffalo Bills (http://www.nfl.com/teams/buffalobills/profile?team=BUF) </td> <td>16</td> <td>49</td> <td>402</td> <td>8.2</td> <td>25.1</td> <td>25</td> <td>3</td> <td>3</td> <td>0</td> <td>20</td> <td>1</td></tr></tbody></table>
And, Reed excells in run blocking.

Not bad for a undersized, slow, backup who some still thinks has bad hands.

That said, he needs to be upgraded so he can be a backup again.
