I remember hearing earlier in the year when Vilma got hurt that he was looking to get out of New York. I wonder if this will come to fruition? Not likely that NYJ would trade him to another division foe.

It would be interesting to see if we have any flexibility with moving Poz to the outside if we were to find another ILB? Of course I have been thinking that it might be smarter for us to keep Poz on the inside and move DiG outside with Crow. Ellison earned himself a back-up spot from his 2007 performance.

no way we want Vilma...the guy got run over by Willis McGahee twice a year. everyone else seemed to stuff our running game, but Vilma was our saving grace. i'd like to see him play rotation between the pats, jets and dolphins.

Id love to have Vilma.

Can't get him via trade though. His contract is ridiculous. He'd have to get cut by NY (I think he will) and then hit the open market.

Compared to Keith Ellison he's Lawrence Taylor.

compared to anyone else in the draft, he's still vilma. I still like this teams mentality of getting them young. i don't want an old Lineback who has struggled in tackling. We have those guys already.

i'll take him and briggs

vilma briggs and poz, along with a day one corner and dt would make our d ferocious.

all those corner runs and cutbacks that go for big yards? with those 3 guys back there you'd see 2 hats on the ball as soon as you knew which hole the back was through.

we've gotten to crazy about the lines here -- our best unit on o and d are our lines. we need some soldiers to make and finish plays, that means lbs and WRs.

underneath passes would get eaten up with those guys back there too. sloppy crap would get picked off and good passes would be met with a physical guy smashing into them.

we do well right now when we line up in gaps and dog the run, if we had 3 studs at lb and whitner we'd stop those runs for big losses.

we all know it starts up front, but you need linebackers making big plays to have a really good D.

I'd love to have Vilma in Buffalo.

That would be sick!! but why would the Jets trade him to a divison rival??

i said this last offseason.

he doesn't fit their scheme [4-3], he's as good as gone. and i'd love him here as our MLB.

I'm ok with Vilma, but lets be real. Why would Vilma leave a mediochre Jets team just to go to a mediochre Bills team?

I hope the Jets cut his ass. I would sign him in a heartbeat!

Roscoe Parish?

I don't think that we have to worry about it though as the Jets wouldn't let him go to a division foe and he would most likely be pursuaded by a whole team full of ex Hurricanes in Baltimore.

Now if the Jets cut him it's all GO. The only problem there are 30 other teams that would interfere.

Definitely worth a look, though I wouldn't part with much of anything for him, personally.

IMO Dick may move either DiG or Poz to Ellisons position. I'd be fine with that. the only way we go after Vilma or Birggs is only if we have a ton of cap left after adressing the DT ,wr, etc poisitions..

I thought his injury was possibly career ending?

Wilma is another Mcgahee when it comes to being another egomaniac/whiny-*****. Keep him away.

The bills boycotting university of miami alums would be wise.

They just extended one of those and have another on the practice squad. Orien Harris.

I would definitely consider Vilma to come play WLB for us at the right price. I think he is much more suited for WLB in the NFL than MLB.

If Vilmar is cut he may want to go to Buffalo for the simple fact that he would play NYJ twice a year and would want payback.
