Per Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

Classic case of a coach who reached the time limit for his act. Billick is a good coach, but it was time for a change. He became too big a star in his own mind.

Not a big surprise. It will be interesting to see if he quickly lands another job or goes the media route for a couple of years.

He was supposedly an offense not a defense expert.

I didn't know, I just figured he was a D guy since his offenses always sucked and D's were awesome.
