    Jeff Ireland New Dolphins GM

DOLPHINS HIRE IRELAND AS NEW GM

DAVIE - Two days after firing Dolphins General Manager Randy Mueller, head of football operations Bill Parcells hired his successor, Jeff Ireland, former vice president of college and pro scouting for the Dallas Cowboys, on Wednesday.

Ireland, who provided Parcells with drafting advice during his last two seasons as Cowboys coach (2005-06), is largely responsible for 38 of the Cowboys' 53-man roster, including 12 starters on this season's 13-3 playoff-bound squad.
Hopefully the days of giving up 2nd round picks for 3rd string QBs/mortaging the future will be over now.

I also wonder if Cameron's future will be announced sometime soon now.

      is RW paying attention?

For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

It also seems like if Pacrells was to get rid of Cameron, that Tony Sparano would be a leading candidate to succeed Cameron.

I know his surname is Sparano, but i'm sure some people will try to mis-spell it on purpose to make it look like Tony Soprano.

Must be nice to have an organization that wants to build a winner.

Parcells said he doesnt want any hpotheads on this team, hint hint.

This is a good hire, and all signs seem to point to Sparano joing his buddies here in Miami.

I read one report that said Cam was informed on tuesday that he has been let go.

I'd bet Cameron is gone by the end of the week at the latest. Now that the GM is in place, they will start interviewing for HC candidates.

Parcells is nothing if not decisive and isn't going to wait around. He is going to move quickly to put his people in place so they can come up with a plan for the FA period and draft. I'd expect Miami to be very aggressive, as Parcells is going to want to turn things around quickly.

Watch, they are going to sign Jason Garrett as HC next.
