Sapp posted a two word message on his Web site, www.qbkilla.com, announcing his intention: "I'M DONE!" He had told teammates and coaches his plans after the season finale Sunday against San Diego. Sapp told the Contra Costa Times earlier Thursday that he had called Raiders owner Al Davis to give him the official news.

Really dont have much to say about this guy. HE Was terrible off the field for fans. I met him once in Tampa and he was the rudest athletes I have ever cam across.....

Nothing but a fat slob who had a few good seasons. OVER-RATED.

Seven Pro Bowls, Defensive player of the year in 99, and a super bowl ring....not a bad career for "nothing but a fat slob"

At least he gives his team plenty of notice. If he was a real ahole he could've waited until after the draft.

If he had spent more time in the gym instead of at the buffet line his career might have been more meaningful.

My personal opinion is not very high of him. I think his mouth did more in the last five years.

He was a great talent for a while but he was an arrogant *****. Not exactly a good role model.

a friend of mine met him at the probowl and said he was the nicest athlete he had ever met. said he was taking time out to speak with everyone at a charity dinner my friend went to.

and to look at his career and say he was a fat slob with a "few good years" is just a straight up lie. this guy, right now, at his current age, is better than any DT on our roster.

Wasn't this guy Vince Wilfork's role model? The guy was a good lineman in his day, but there was nothing else good left to him.

Ruben Brown made a ton of pro bowls as well.

He's from the U. Poor work ethic and ******* attitude are requirements for admission.

I was so looking forward to the "We should sign the aging slowing Sapp to an expensive in FA contract" posts

He should have never went to Oakland.

His individual stats over the pass 2 seasons compare favorably with all our DTs stats put together.

I thought he retired years ago. I haven't seen him in the past like 3 years.
