Feel free to add others. Steve Fairchild is one of the options, I screwed it up.

Gilbride, but only because he had some actual talent to work with.

Fairchild second.

St. Louis Rams were 12-4 (2003) 8-8 (2004) and Fairchild was the OC. But you know everything!

I'm surprised Mike Shepperd wasn't on that list.

At least under Gilbride we moved the ball and scored points his first year here, when we had just gotten Bledsoe.

Under Fairchild we were flat out pathetic and predictable. Plus when your offensive output is worse than the 1985-86 Bills in terms of TD production you win the "crappy offensive coordinator award" hands down.

Of course results and numbers depend on more than just the coaching, so that's not a legit barometer for this single issue.

While Fairchild has no creativity or daring whatsoever, I think Gilbride's problem goes deeper; he not only misused players but he came up with ridiculous hair-brained schemes like lining up a big FB wide.
They're different extremes, and it's a close call. Both tried to force players into their schemes, which is the worst thing a coach can do. IMO Gilbride was worse at that.

Whoever was the OC for the Bills under Kay Stephenson or Hank Bullough for that matter.

What about Mularkey's OC? Clement? Wasn't he pretty lousy too?

They were all idiots, but I went with Fairchild mainly because he was just a lil' dumber.....:madcurse:....

St. Louis Rams were 12-4 (2003) 8-8 (2004) and Fairchild was the OC. But you know everything!

And during that time Bulger completed 64.6 percent for 7,809 yards and 43 touchdowns.

But it's all because of coaching. Only that matters. All players are the same.

All I can say is, Fairchild made me long for the days of Joe Pendry.

Whomever it was in 1971:

Shut out four times.

Held with out a TD another two times.

As much as I hated Gilbride I believe that Fairchild was way worse.

I really thought he was the best OC available when we picked him up but he can't call a game to save his life. I personally don't think he is very smart and the offense was behind the 8 ball coming out of pre-season and I really think Jauron was pissed about it.

Running "vanilla" proved to be disastrous!!

add joe pendry to the list as well, but steve is responsible for the worst TD production in the history of the franchise
