    A good bills reality article

Our Caesars Sportsbook Promo Code 'USBETCZR' offers all new players at Caesars Sportsbook online sportsbook and mobile app up to $1,100 as first-bet insurance.

In the end, having the NFL's 30th-ranked offense and No. 18 defense in 2006 and following it up with the league's 31st-rated offense and defense in '07 doesn't really indicate progress. That is why Levy's ability as a front-office executive was at least somewhat exaggerated and why Jauron ought to be handed his walking papers by the next G.M, whomever it is.

Middle linebacker Paul Posluszny, safeties Ko Simpson and George Wilson and defensive end Ryan Denney are solid players who landed on IR at various points during the season; other than that quartet, though, Buffalo saw plenty of no-names miss games throughout the year. Would Copeland Bryan, for instance, really have been a high-impact defender from the end position? Probably not.

a nicely written piece about the truth of our team at least im not the only one who feels this way

Levy's first mistake was drafting Whitner.

I dont agree with this at all,,,,, the difference between what Levy did and what Donahoe did is much different,,,,

Levy achieved 14 wins over 2 seasons with less talent on both sides of the ball, has left us with a ton of cap room and 10 draft picks to fill in the rest of our needs with. Not to mention enough cap to re-sign/extend any player on our roster.

On top of all that we are one of the youngest teams in the NFL.

This is a team that has something to look forward to.... Donahoe left us with a team full of aging name brand players that didnt do any better than what we have now.

Mahdi...the real point is, they both did jack squat.

I'm tired of our bar that measures success always goes back to Donahoe. I don't care...Donahoe sucked ass, and we still sucked with Marv and Dick. Just because theyre better than Donahoe doesn't mean we're going to the Super Bowl with Jauron.

Sometimes I think Buffalo fans have forgotten such things like Super Bowls and playoffs...we seem to be ok with 7-9 seasons.

Fair enough,,, but this is a team that has a good foundation, young, and has room to build and add which is completely different than what we have had for the last 8 years previous...

marv and DJ are more likable that doesnt mean they are solid. i think on a talent level we are worse off. we have no veteran leadership.

we have shunned some of our first round picks and yes even the current ones mccargo comes to mind.

we are spinning its just hard to see we are spinning when we want them to be good more then anything.

What's the point of saying, "we'll see over three years how Marv does" and then ask to throw away the whole project after two.

Yes, we have less talent on this 7-9 team than we did last year. But doesn't that strike you as improvement?

Last year we picked up players who need developmental time. an entire OL and a new QB and a new RB. Those positions need to gel, learn the system, and learn to block as well as run, respectively. They all had a full year to get use to it. That's a big plus for next year.

Whether you loved JP or trent, we all agree that Fairchild was so unimaginative with the offense that no one would be able to put up TD's no matter the talent level.

With Trent you have a guy who actually can read the field and adjust to a new system faster and better than JP.

Now on Defense, you had no names keep us in games. i don't care where we rank. We played all the games tight. despite giving up huge chunks of yards and unacceptable number of 3rd downs, we seemingly always had the team kick the fieldgoal. in the first pats game and pitts burgh gam, we were still in it at half time. With no names! The last two games we had no one playing their true position. We've got 10 picks, free agent money, and proven depth now to be able to field a much better defense next year.

So stand by your claims and give them the full three years. if it doesn't work out then, then move on. I will. but i believe there is something building there right now.

Does not surprise me at all you agree with the writer whose editor tried to buy links to his article on football sites because others did not treat them as anything other than hashing others news and internet posts. He is a poster on TSW and the few times he has posted on this board the general opinion was 'What are you smoking?'.

Funny, it's more or less a synopsis of what I wrote, yet if it had had my name on it dj, would you have said the same thing?

Actually, I provided much more detail and far more data to substantiate the same thing.

I wonder who's thoughts at the beginning of the season were more accurate!
