The Dolphins already have their HC, they just haven't officially announced it yet.

Good. I hope he gets the job. He will certainly build the Dolphins into the kind of powerhouse he had in Buffalo.

That would be sweet. Mularky and Williams on the same sidelines. WOW

I still think Williams is going to make a decent head coach some day.

Don't put all the problems here on Gregg Williams, not that anyone is, but a lot of the calls were Donahoe. He'd sit in on the coaches in the box and run the team. Telling them to challenge stupid calls, telling them to run this play and play this person.

Gregg Williams had problems here in Buffalo to be sure. He was, I think, pretty insecure when all is said and done. He hired almost exclusively young assistants with relatively little experience. He bragged. "This team right now can win the Super Bowl." And when the going got tough he circled the wagons and got very defensive. Why young assistants? I think he was afraid of assistants that might know more than he did. Why brag the way he did? Often braggarts do so to deflect from their own fears of inadequacy. And of course he got defensive because he couldn't handle the pressure. Still, he's a brilliant Xs and Os guy when it comes to defensive football. If he can learn to be more comfortable with himself and correct the errors he made from the get go in Buffalo, I think he can be a successful head coach.

Am I crazy to think Williams will be a good head coach the second time around? There is a decent chance he's learned something under Joe Gibbs. I hope Miami doesn't hire him, to be honest.

I agree. In retrospect, those years in Buffalo weren't very good to anyone involved. There were a number of people on those Bills teams that would've been (and have been) successful elsewhere. Unlike many, I am cautiously optimistic that this team is beginning to turn the corner and leave the past in the past.

Sparano to Miami and Williams has a shot to be HC of the Skins. Don't know where this Williams to Miami rumor came from but it doesn't make sense. Everyone knows profootballtalk.com has the best rumors anyway.
