Does it really matter? This team is not in the same league as the Sens when they're healthy, let alone when they don't have some of their best players (ie - Connolly & Roy, which shows how bad this team really is).

Once I see something to be positive about, I will then say so...as I always am willing to do. All the people who don't like what I say, are pissed because I bring up the obvious and don't just ignore it. I'm sorry, but ignoring the problems with this team won't make them a playoff team, it won't make them a Champion and that is all I want. I've had mediocre for long enough and we were so close last year that the way this FO has done business the past year has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not give credit to a team and organization that does not deserve it. This does not mean that I'm not a fan, it just means that I refuse to accept mediocrity. I love this team, but I hate the way it has been mismanaged. I'm not going to post fun, friendly posts...just so people like me on this board...just like many of you do. I post about what is reality and what is happening...not WHAT I WISH I WAS SEEING OUT OF THIS TEAM!

at first I thought Neil still had his helmet on, but then I used the magic of DVR and watched it again- Neil's helmet flew off right before the jersey came up and Gaustad threw two solid ones into the back of his head.

And Peters dressed so maybe he can smack Neil around later on too.

I will say one thing- they're definitely more physical tonight.

And I don't know what's up with the lack of scoring- I know- no Roy, Max or Connolly, but still- they had plenty of solid chances against Martin ****ing Gerber and still couldn't put it home (of course, the Ottawa fans are probably saying the same thing about Thibault :snicker:).

I do have a family and things going on in my life. Oh yeah, why would I complain when they're winning??? Like I've said many times before, I will give credit when it is do, but I won't be all hugs and kisses just to make you feel better. During that winning streak, let's not forget the competition...it was not a bunch of good teams. I was hoping they had turned a corner, but it is very obvious that this team is not good enough and it won't be for the rest of the year. I called this when we lost Briere and Drury. It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to see that if you lose your top two guys and then not replace them with anybody, that this team was not going to be good enough. Also, Drury said that he had worries about the character of this team (something that I mentioned many times last year and a lot of you questioned me on). I'm a fan, but I don't settle...that's the difference between myself and some of you on here.

Ottawa shows no respect (not that they should) on the Sabres PP. But they run at the guys with the puck and the Sabres cough it up where as the Sabres play that zone and just try to kill the powerplay.
