Im not up to speed with college guys as of yet, but I'm almost willing to bet anything that Ellis is gone WAY before #11 come draft day.

People said the same about Alan Branch from Michigan last year, and he didnt go til the 2nd round. Way too early to speculate.

There were a few knocks on Branch though,,, injury and attitude.

Very true. He is like a grown 5 year old. Ya just never know how things are going to shape up 4 months from now.

If Ellis is gone, I agree, Rivers is the logical pick.

IF we go OLB with our first pick I would rather have Dan Connor. He is the complete package and will give us a bit more size than Rivers and Ellison.

I have no issue with either Connor or Rivers just to note

It would be nice to get another LB with our first pick. Hopefully, we will have WR, C, and CB figured out in FA.

That would be great, but there's no way he'll last until #11. We'll have to move up for him!

I just don't see us taking care of all of our most pressing needs - stud DT, big WR, pass catching TE and pass rushing DE - in free agency. We also need help at C and CB.

Therefore, using a first round pick on an OLB - which is about 5th or 6th in our priority of needs - seems to be a luxury we can't afford.

I think I rank OLB a little higher than you do. After WR, TE and DT it is in the running at 4th along with CB (A center won't be picked at 11th).

If the right guy is there at 11th and players like Ellis are gone, take an OLB. DiG and Ellison are fine as back-ups, but not starters.

I disagree on OLB being 5th or 6th on the need list. DT and WR are the other big needs and unless Ellis is available at 11 then there are no DTs or WRs that are worth the 11th pick in the draft. Plus, if Ellis is not available in the draft then that leaves the big hole of "defensive playmaker" wide open, which is why the team needs a stud OLB that can make some gamebreaking plays. Then need some speed at that position too. Rivers fits the "bill."

Rookie DT's take a couple of years to make huge impacts. Jauron doesn't have that luxury. We need to stop the run now.

Fred Davis, Limas Sweed, or Sedrick Eliis are my top 3 anyone would be awesome!!!

Keith Rivers, Connors, or another big WR is 2nd option, would still be okay
