You need to figure out that without the proper personnel NO SYSTEM WILL WORK.
That's the point.
The Cover 2 doesn't work here because it doesn't have the proper personnel.
The 3-4 doesn't work in Cleveland or SF because it doesn't have the proper personnel.
The 4-3 doesn't work in ATL, STL or Miami because it doesn't have the proper personnel.
So what should you do? Blow it up because you don't have the proper personnel? Then go to another system that also won't have the proper personnel! Then in two years when that system you go to, also sucks...blow it up! Go with another system. You see the cycle that would occur? The D would always suck as we're scattering trying to fill a system.
Tell me which system we could run right now with the personnel we have that would work here. And tell me why it would work. Give examples and reasons.
Each system you can use examples to say that that system is complete crap.
And you need to figure out that our defense was one of the worst in the nfl and the only team behind us was a team that ran a cover 2 also. The old saying that if it aint broke dont fix it. Well this defense is broke so we need to fix it.
