23. Buffalo Bills (f/ATL):
Taylor Jacobs, WR, Florida
The Bills landed this pick in the deal that sent wideout Peerless Price to Buffalo and after filling their need at defensive tackle in free agency with Sam Adams they look elsewhere. While they have faith in second year man Josh Reed being able to step in and start in place of Price they also need to bring in some insurance. At the very least the polished Jacobs will be an ideal #3 man in Buffalo, which is essentially a starter in that high powered offense.

23. Buffalo Bills (from Atlanta Falcons)
9-6-1
+88 Pt. Diff.
William Joseph
DT
Miami Unspectacular play throughout his season season is likely going to drop Joseph a little further than most would expect. That said, he is a terrific athlete and has the size to both handle the 2 gap responsibilities as well as make plays. Buffalo is desperate for someone to take some pressure off Pat Williams and Joseph is enough of a playmaker to get the job done.

Buffalo Bills Larry Johnson
HB 6'1" 230# 4.6 Penn State
COMMENTS: This draft choice was acquired from the Atlanta Falcons in the WR Peerless Price trade.
Draft Notebook
(I have no idea what the reasoning is behind this pick is- I would think Buffalo would pick a QB before they picked a RB....Melk)

23. Buffalo Bills (from Atlanta) - Rien Long DT, Washington State
Sam Adams is an upgrade, but the Bills still need to add a solid, young defensive tackle. Rien Long was named winner of the 2002 Outland Trophy, which is awarded annually to the nation's top defensive lineman.

16. (48) Buffalo Bills - Jeff Faine, C Notre Dame
Center isn't a major priority for the Bills, but Faine has first-round talent and would be an immediate improvement. He would be a steal with the 48th overall pick.
Rd3
15. (79) Buffalo Bills - Shurron Pierson, DE/OLB South Florida (Fla)
The Bills defense could use a good situational pass rusher.

23(23).Buffalo Bills (From Atlanta)
Dennis Weathersby Cornerback Oregon State
This is a hard pick to figure out. The Bills really like defensive end Chris Kelsay from Nebraska but they feel he could be around for their choice in the second round (as well as Cory Redding). It is a fact that you need 3 solid corners in the NFL today and Weathersby could come in and contribute as a #3 cornerback immediately.
Other possibilities: Chris Kelsay DE Nebraska, *Johnathan Sullivan DT Georgia, Kenny Peterson DE Ohio State.

DT Jonathon Sullivan Georgia
Buffalo got a first round pick back after losing Peerless Price to Atlanta. That's a tough loss, but the Bills should be able to improve their D as a result. The recent addition of LB Takeo Spikes is a great start. By drafting Sullivan, the Bills get a stud to anchor the D line. The Buffalo secondary will be addressed in the 2nd.

Rd 1
23.Buffalo Bills: Jonathan Sullivan, DT, Georgia: The Bills have done a terrific job of improving their defense in free agency and with the selection of Sullivan, they get even better, younger and add more depth along the defensive line. Buffalo does have Pat Williams and newly signed Sam Adams inside which should be a fine duo, but neither guy in his prime and both tend to wear down in games, so adding Sullivan would give the Bills a good rotation guy for the time being and an eventual starter.

Round 1
23. Buffalo Bills(from Atlanta)- KELLEY WASHINGTON WR TENNESSEE- We'll call this my surprise pick of the 1st round. The Bills have done a great job of improving their defense through free agency, but they need to compensate for the loss of, arguably, their best offensive player in Peerless Price. If you look at a "standard" draftboard, perhaps Bryant Johnson of Penn St. is next up at WR, but with Eric Moulds and Josh Reed at WR, the Bills can afford to roll the dice on the talented Washington. His campus workouts were dynamite, he's healthy and this is a gamble that would probably pay off for the Bills. OTHER POSSIBILITIES-Bryant Johnson, Jason Witten
Round 2
48. Buffalo Bills- AL JOHNSON C WISCONSIN- It's a toss-up whether Johnson or Faine is the best center in this draft, but Al is excellent value here. OTHER POSSIBILITIES- Antwan Peek, Julian Battle, Angelo Crowell
Round 3
79. Buffalo Bills- MUSA SMITH RB GEORGIA- Yes, the Bills have Travis Henry but little behind him and what a great change of pace back Smith would make.Mr Hyde's Mock Draft

Michael Haynes
DE | Penn State
6' 3" | 280 lbs. | 4.70
Team Needs: DE | DT | CB | OLB
Comments: Uses his hands well is able to speed rush and power rush effectively. Hard-working and intelligent. Athletic and relentless defensive end that stops the run or rushes the passer with equal effectiveness. Has a great burst of closing speed and flashes on the scene.
The Latest: Had a bad combine posting a 4.88 40 while pulling his quad muscle. At the Penn State Pro Day, brought his time down to 4.70. Did 23 reps of the 225 lbs at the combine.
Options: With the trade of Peerless Price to Atlanta, the Bills get to beef up their defensive line.
