April 4, 2003 13:07:29 PT Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars vice president of player personnel James Harris indicated the team has only marginal interest in unrestricted free agent RB Olandis Gary (Broncos). The team had talks with Gary's agent, but no visit has been scheduled.

March 28, 2003 17:11:56 PT The AP reports the Buffalo Bills had free agent RB Olandis Gary (Broncos) in town for a visit on Friday. He said he’s content backing up RB Travis Henry.

The Jags were one of the teams to be contending for Gary,plus the Giants just signed their back-up Dorsey Levens. So looks like maybe just the Bills and Possibly Cowgirls still interested. I would sure like to have this guy backing up Henry.

I'm perfectly fine with the RBs we have now. I don't want to see too many FAs signed. We currently have a nice mix of young and veteran players on both sides of the ball. If a vet goes down, youth will have to step up. That's a sure way to discover and grow decent talent.

i wouldn't mind having gary for a backup.he couldn't be that big of a hit to our cap.

at vet minimum.. sure.. bring him into camp and see if he outplays morris, and burns and a drafted RB..

competition makes us better.

i am not saying we should cut him.. i like him.. i am jsut saying more competition is fine with me.
