    With healthy leg, Titans' Nedney still trying to live down playoffs

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 4, 2003 6:04 p.m. EST) - Joe Nedney's right knee is strong, and the Tennessee Titans' kicker already is trying field goals without any pain. If only escaping jokes about his performances in the first two playoff games of his career came as easily.

    Nedney is constantly reminded how he enticed a penalty that allowed him to kick a field goal for a third time in overtime to beat Pittsburgh in a divisional playoff game. And how he hyperextended his right knee making a leg tackle in the AFC championship loss to Oakland.

    He can't even seek refuge at home in California.

    "I have some new next door neighbors. I get reminded about it just about every day I go out in the yard. They're Pittsburgh Steelers' fans," he said.
