    Redskins evaluate lineman, tight end

    The Washington Redskins met with free agent Darius Holland yesterday and watched the veteran defensive tackle work out with a host of local players who hope to get drafted. Top Stories
    The Redskins are interested in Holland, 29, who has played for four teams during a seven-year career, as a potential run-stopper on the interior line along with newly signed Brandon Noble and veteran Dan Wilkinson.
    Meanwhile, NFL sources said arbitrator Richard Bloch will rule Monday whether kick returner Chad Morton will be awarded to the Redskins or retained by the New York Jets.
    Bloch heard arguments Thursday from the NFL Players Association, which believes the Jets did not adequately match the Redskins' offer sheet for the restricted free agent. The league's management council claims New York was not required to include Washington's provision that would have voided the final two years of Morton's five-year contract.
