I've actually discussed this with my dad before and we both agree. I like the guy and all but I usually don't make it through a full Otters game without making note about his style. Good thing I don't have to listen very often.

You should be a Bruins fan than. I listen to the Boston's games when nothing else is on and Jack Edwards is bigger homer the White Sox announcers. According to him, there is a penatly every time a player even looks at a Bruin or the Bruins are getting ripped off some way or another. It is very annoying. He don't just say it, he screams it.

The only go thing about NESN is the picture quality is a lot better even in Non-HD format.

IMO, there is a difference between a homer and a huge whine bag. MJ takes homer-ism way to far and it's irritating. Even as a fan of the Otters I want to tell him to shut up.

No ****, I hate when I get the NESN feed for Sabres/Bruins games. They are the biggest homers I've seen in the NHL. Of the few away feeds I actually don't mind, NJ is probably near the top. I like Doc Emerick.

Could not agree more...They are the worst...Even if I don't have an interest in the game of who to win or not I often wonder what game the Bruin announcers are watching. You touch a Bruin and its a penalty. In a fight no matter how bad the Bruin lost the fight Edwards comments on how the Bruin fighter won the fight.

i thought he sounded fine. not just like rj but close enough to be reminicent. he would prolly get more like him as he got older. id love if he could just slide right in when rj retires to keep a great tradition going another generation
