All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

I like.... Coach Jauron, he deserves to stay on board this season. Then we'll talk.
You thought I was gonna say I like Dick... didnt you?
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
I have many criticisms of this team but this was a good hire and the best canidate at the time.
I'm not sure he is a playoff caliber coach but he's a good enough coach to at least get us there.
i am gonna have to disagree, Mike Sherman in my opinion was the best hire, Ralph didnt want to give him the money, i liked Sherman alot, and the past unsuccess of DJ scared me alot, 2 back to back 7-9's and i feel not a whole let better, We r sorta in the right direction, but we need a very good offseason and are more than in postion to do it

Right, and naturally the next time that we fire a HC or GM, ... oh, pardon me, we don't have a GM, ... my bad;
But I digress; the next time we fire Jauron, you can probably bet the farm that the best and brightest won't be available then either, or that they won't want to come here with the team's future now fully known to be pending in Buffalo, or that we won't hire the best anyway as we haven't done in past seasons when much better candidates were available.
And while Jauron may have been the best candidate available from available coaches with experience, I'm sure that we could have found some w/o HC experience that would have been better.

How do you know Wilson wouldn't pay Sherman? At the time of the hiring process it was being reported that Levy preffered Jauron and Wilson liked Sherman.

There you go again, injecting facts into the matter.
Haven't you learned yet that facts have no place here!

It's all relative.
Wys, you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. Had Buffalo hired another coach without prior head coaching experience, everyone would have screamed about the fact that he must have been hired because he was the cheapest available coach. I honestly think Jauron has done very well for himself considering the overall lack of talent in both 2006(salary dumps) & 2007(myraid of injuries). Honestly, how many coaches do you think would have gotten 7 wins out of the 2007 Buffalo Bills? And if Sherman is so great, why hasn't another team hired him to be their HC?
