ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Raiders owner Al Davis recently sent a letter to Lane Kiffin, asking him to resign, but Kiffin has refused.
Just another Raiders offseason. Kiffin isn't going to quit because he doesn't want to pass up the rest of his contract, while Davis doesn't want to eat it. Davis and Kiffin butted heads on defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's status, and possibly Kiffin's interest in college jobs. Mort says that the letter may have have been sent weeks ago, but it still seems like a divorce is inevitable. All the while, Kiffin has been representing the Raiders at the Senior Bowl.

Ralph and Davis are just embarrassments to the NFL. It has just passed them by.

Uh oh:

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports ex-Chargers WRs coach James Lofton will interview for a spot on the Raiders' coaching staff.
The position Lofton will interview for is unknown, but his addition may be pending Lane Kiffin's departure. Lofton did interview for the Raiders' head coaching vacancy last offseason. He was fired by San Diego early this week.

Why the **** would anyone want to coach for that team? I think I may have finally found an owner worse than Ralph.

Losing Kiffin would be a complete mistake Oakland may have won only 4 games last year but they worked hard.

If this has been going on for a week or so, maybe Turner and Smith caught wind of Lofton's interest in Oakland and that's why he was canned.

Al Davis used to be the man, but now he needs to be the man that steps down before he makes his beloved franchise a mess.

It's already a mess man.

The Dolphins should have won six games this year, at least your owner seems serious about winning, I don't think you can say the same for Davis anymore.

I think Davis feasts on brains. That and the tears from little chipmunks. Or so I've heard.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin will not resign, despite owner Al Davis' wishes. Mike Mayock mentioned that the two sides are probably negotiating a buyout.
Kiffin wore a black Under Armour garb while coaching at the Senior Bowl all week, whereas his coaching staff donned typical Raiders gear. In the end, Davis may be forced to fire Kiffin and pay him the rest of his contract.
