Jared Allen wants to play for the 49ers....

The player rep for prospective free agent Jared Allen says his client would love to play for the 49ers.
Allen is from California and at 6'6/270, would be a solid fit at end in Mike Nolan's 3-4. However, the Chiefs won't let him get away. Allen will be franchise tagged later this month. The tender for DEs is $8.9 million.

I get that he's from California but what's the deal with the 49ers and FA lately? How are they anymore attractive than anyone else. It seems like every big name FA's name is tied to SF the past few years.

nice weather and a storied franchise with great history at least....and they tend to give huge pay increases
