I hit the reset on my DirecTV and it won't even get the channels it was getting before. Luckily, I went out to try and get anything off the dish and when I came back in, the one on the TV in the living room still doesn't work, but the one in the bedroom does!

Great bounce back in the second period. We've hit 4 posts already and Hedberg made a few awesome saves early on. We could have 6-7 goals already at this point. Nice to see them finally start hitting a little bit in the 2nd, hopefully they keep it up through the 3rd as well.

They did.

In the first period, one of the refs got in the way of Paille's shot then another one kept the puck in the zone for the Thrashers. I didn't think much of it at first, until they started letting everything go for both teams then randomly calling penalties on the Sabres.

They injure our goalie, then the refs call penalties to virtually ensure OT, then they call more penalties in OT to virtually ensure a shootout. I honestly think the refs had a hand in this one.

BTW, speaking of toughness, why didn't someone take Thornburn out? Someone needs to step up.

but shouldn't any player in his position on any team be held to that standard? He's supposed to be the franchise guy- he HAS to be the franchise guy because the money we have tied up in him makes it difficult to deal with other players.

So 50 may be asking too much, but if he's not in the 40 range on goals and 70 range in points, chances are the team won't be winning.
