Former Redskins CB Darrell Green, Vikings WR Cris Carter, and NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue are among the 17 finalists for Saturday's Hall of Fame election.
Green, a first-ballot finalist who could probably still run a 4.4 forty, is a virtual lock to get in. Carter retired in 2002 as the second leading receiver in NFL history, behind only Jerry Rice. Tagliabue oversaw the NFL during its most prosperous time before retiring in 2006. Art Monk, Andre Tippett, Richard Dent, and Derrick Thomas are among the other finalists.
